About us
The General Bathymetric Chart of the Oceans (GEBCO) aims to provide the most authoritative, publicly-available bathymetry data sets for the world’s oceans. GEBCO consists of an international group of experts who work on the development of a range of bathymetric data sets and data products, including gridded bathymetric data sets, a world map and Gazetteer of Undersea Feature Names. We are involved in training a new generation of scientists in ocean bathymetry through the Nippon Foundation/GEBCO Training Programme. To get involved in GEBCO please contact us.
