An exciting partnership for an ambitious project: GOLDBECK SOLAR celebrated the ground-breaking ceremony for a 60 MWp solar park in Gornau together with Münch Energie. 🔆 “The Gornau solar park is a prime example of how partnerships like ours with Münch Energie are driving the expansion of renewable energy,” explains Tobias Schüßler, COO of GOLDBECK SOLAR. “By saving nearly 18,000 tons of CO₂ annually and strengthening the local and regional energy supply, this project brings us one step closer to a climate-friendly future.” 💡The solar project will span 40 hectares and include 85,900 solar modules and 168 inverters. Once completed, the Gornau Solar Park will generate up to 65,000 MWh of clean electricity annually, enough to supply approximately 18,500 households. News from our GOLDBECK SOLAR Team in Poland! We’re excited to share an update on the progress of the 90 MW photovoltaic farm in Postomino and the construction of a 110 kV high-voltage line with DNO building. This project will be Poland's first cable-pooling installation, combining HV infrastructure with an existing wind farm. 🔌 We’re currently finalizing work on two sections from five of modules installation. We've also completed more than 75% of 110 kV high-voltage line. Construction on the remaining areas including DNO is advancing well. The project is scheduled for completion in May 2025, at which point we’ll be ready to supply clean energy to the grid. 🙌 A big thank you to the GOLDBECK SOLAR Poland team and all our partners and contractors for their collaboration in delivering this project, which will contribute to the growth of renewable energy in Poland. A Unified Standard Driving the Solar Industry Forward: The Solar Module Quality Standard (SMQS) has been released, marking a significant step towards more reliable solar systems. The SMQS outlines specific requirements for solar modules, ensuring long-term, safe, and high-performance photovoltaic installations. Monika Leiner from GOLDBECK SOLAR played a key role in developing this standard. 💡 “Solar modules are the heart of every PV system, and a standardized quality norm has been long overdue,” explains Monika Leiner, Category Manager for Solar Modules at GOLDBECK SOLAR and a key contributor to the SMQS. “Until now, there has been no uniform approach in the industry, while module manufacturers have been under immense cost pressure. This new quality standard provides clear guidance for both manufacturers and operators, ensuring maximum confidence in the performance and longevity of the modules.” With the SMQS, we are raising the bar for the solar industry. GOLDBECK SOLAR achieves a new milestone: Wunsiedel Solar Park We're thrilled to announce the successful completion of the 37 MWp Wunsiedel solar park, a major step forward in our mission to provide clean, sustainable energy. 💡 This innovative project, built in collaboration with Münch Energie features a unique design with four sub-fields oriented in different directions. This maximizes solar energy capture throughout the day, increasing efficiency and stability. "We are very proud to have completed our first joint project with Münch Energie with the Wunsiedel solar park,” explains Tobias Schüßler, COO of GOLDBECK SOLAR. “This collaboration demonstrates once again how innovative concepts can contribute to the energy transition.” 🔆 The Wunsiedel solar park will generate enough electricity to power approximately 9,500 households annually, while reducing carbon emissions by 15,000 tons. Recently our COO Tobias Schüssler talked to pv Europe about the Energy Market in Poland and our Team GOLDBECK SOLAR Poland. "Our Polish colleagues face two specific challenges with every project. First, the power grid limits the connection capacities. In addition, there are bureaucratic and complicated approval processes for photovoltaic systems in the megawatt range.
