This year’s theme, "𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗕𝗶𝗴𝗴𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗛𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗘𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗵," called on individuals, businesses, and communities to take meaningful action beyond just switching off lights. By participating in Earth Hour 2025, we stood alongside millions worldwide to highlight the urgency of climate action and the importance of sustainable solutions. Whether through energy conservation, reducing waste, or adopting greener practices, every action contributes to a healthier planet. At IJM, sustainability is at the core of our commitments. 𝗔𝗰𝗰𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗔𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: 𝗖𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗯𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗪𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻’𝘀 𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱 𝗮𝘁 𝗜𝗝𝗠 On 10 and 11 March, IJM celebrated International Women’s Day 2025 with a meaningful gathering dedicated to leadership, empowerment, and progress. Over two inspiring days, IJM brought together thought-provoking discussions, practical workshops, and meaningful initiatives to support and uplift women in the workplace and beyond. IJM was proud to host 𝗔𝗿. 𝗟𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗮𝗻 𝗧𝗮𝘆, 𝗩𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗩𝗘𝗥𝗜𝗧𝗔𝗦 𝗗𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻 𝗚𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗽, as our Keynote Speaker. A visionary architect who has shaped Kuala Lumpur’s skyline, Lillian shared insights on innovation, resilience, and inclusive design. She also joined a panel of accomplished leaders, including 𝗣𝗮𝘂𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗛𝗼 (𝗣𝘄𝗖 𝗠𝗮𝗹𝗮𝘆𝘀𝗶𝗮), 𝗧𝗮𝗻 𝗧𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗠𝗶𝗻 (𝗜𝗝𝗠 𝗖𝗼𝗿𝗽𝗼𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻), 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗪𝗮𝗻 𝗦𝗮𝗹𝘄𝗮𝗻𝗶 𝗕𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗶 𝗪𝗮𝗻 𝗬𝘂𝘀𝗼𝗳𝗳 (𝗜𝗝𝗠 𝗧𝗼𝗹𝗹 𝗗𝗶𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻), to discuss breaking barriers, fostering mentorship, and driving change. In addition to leadership discussions, participants gained valuable skills through these sessions: • 𝗪𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻’𝘀 𝗦𝗮𝗳𝗲𝘁𝘆 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗽 – Practical strategies for personal security and risk awareness. • 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵 𝗧𝗮𝗹𝗸: 𝗠𝗲𝗻𝗼𝗽𝗮𝘂𝘀𝗲 𝗠𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀 – Honest discussions on navigating menopause with confidence. • 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗿 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗽: 𝗔𝗰𝗰𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗿 – Strategies for self-advocacy, networking, and career advancement. We also came together for a cause, raising RM RM18,190 through a yoga session to support Komuniti Tukang Jahit (KTJ), which equips B40 women with sewing skills for sustainable income. International Women’s Day at IJM was more than a celebration—it was a moment of reflection, empowerment, and action. The first day of our celebration brought together approximately 100 IJMers for a meaningful exchange of ideas and inspiration. The event kicked off with a launch by Dato’ Lee Chun Fai, IJM Group CEO & Managing Director, followed by the unveiling of the Empowerment Tree, symbolising our collective commitment to support and uplift one another. A key highlight was the 𝗪𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻 𝗶𝗻 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝗣𝗮𝗻𝗲𝗹 𝗗𝗶𝘀𝗰𝘂𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻, where industry leaders shared their insights on resilience, leadership, and driving meaningful change. Their stories reinforced the importance of taking action to create more opportunities for all. Beyond discussions, we also embraced well-being and community support. A 𝘆𝗼𝗴𝗮 𝘀𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 not only promoted balance but also raised RM8,295 in support of Komuniti Tukang Jahit (KTJ), a social enterprise that equips B40 women with certified sewing skills to create income opportunities.
