Inspiration doesn’t have to come from fancy, brand new stuff. The Creative Marketing team at Sunway Malls is turning trash into treasure! The latest Gadis Series art installation titled “Gadis Lestari” transforms e-waste into a vibrant wall art installation at Sunway Big Box Retail Park. The team dedicated three months to complete this innovative project, putting a lot of thoughts into the design and execution of blending art with sustainability, aligning with Sunway’s commitment to the Sustainable Development Goals. The artwork features a dynamic array of colours and textures from discarded electronic items such as laptops, batteries, keyboards, wires and others (sponsored by ERTH)—representing a fashionable and modern woman. By creatively repurposing electronic waste, the art installation aims to inspire the public to consider how imagination and sustainability can be combined to address pressing environmental issues.
