Just a day after welcoming our seventh Boeing 737-8, we are thrilled to receive the eighth addition to our growing fleet—with seven more on the way! Flown by Captain Mohd Ezaddin Bin Mohd Roslan, Captain Suhaidi Bin Sabiis, and First Officer Ahmad Bin Mohd Nasir, Flight MH5041 (9M-MVE) arrived at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) under cloudy skies after an incredible journey from Seattle, with stops in Honolulu and Guam. ✈️🌏 We look forward to welcoming three more aircrafts in February as we continue strengthening our fleet, enhancing connectivity, and delivering the very best travel experience to our passengers. We’re thrilled to welcome the 7th addition to our Boeing 737-8 fleet! Flight MH5041 arrived at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) at 1:01 PM today, completing its journey from Seattle with stopovers in Honolulu and Guam. ✈️🌍 Currently, 4 out of 6 of our B737-8 aircraft have been equipped with Wi-Fi, with the remaining aircraft in the process of being outfitted. As our 737-8 fleet expands, all aircraft will feature onboard Wi-Fi—so you can stay connected throughout your journey, on us! This milestone marks another step forward in enhancing our fleet and reinforcing our commitment to seamless operations and outstanding travel experiences. Malaysia Airlines ushered in the festive spirit with a special send-off for passengers traveling on two red-eye flights from KLIA Terminal 1, joined by Minister of Transport Malaysia, YB Tuan Loke Siew Fook. ✈️ As part of the celebration, YB Loke made a special address to passengers traveling on flights to Tawau and Sandakan. He also distributed festive goodies to mark the occasion alongside Group Managing Director of Malaysia Aviation Group (MAG), Datuk Captain Izham Ismail, Chief Operating Officer of Malaysia Airlines, Captain Nasaruddin A. Bakar, and Chief Commercial Officer of Airlines (MAG), Dersenish Aresandiran. These flights are part of 102 additional services introduced this Chinese New Year to meet travel demands, offering fixed all-in fares to make holiday reunions even more accessible. Earlier in the day, YB Loke and Secretary General of the Ministry of Transport, Dato' Jana Santhiran also spent some time visiting MAG employees working at the Operations Control Centre and Crew Centre.
