Today, Bloom Public Health had the pleasure of hosting a delegation from the NSIA: Nigeria Sovereign Investment Authority (#NSIA) health care team. The delegation was led by Funke Falade; other representatives include Hauwa Abubakar and Muhammad Maikudi. The NSIA: Nigeria Sovereign Investment Authority is an investment institution of the Federation set up to manage funds in excess of budgeted #hydrocarbon revenues. This institution is renown for its strategic support to the healthcare infrastructure development. Bloom Public Health is excited to #announce the #appointment of Joseph omama as our new Senior Finance and Admin Manager.   Joseph omama is a distinguished member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (#ICAN) with over two decades of #experience in accounting. His impressive #career spans the oil and gas sector and the pharmaceutical industry, where he has excelled in managing accounting transactions, preparing annual #budgets and #forecasts, computing #taxes, and overseeing financial statements. His role also involved delivering critical reports on the company’s financial health and liquidity.   More recently, he served as the #Head of Internal Audit and Compliance at a leading investment firm. There, he was instrumental in planning and executing payroll audits, reviewing loan applications, performing #riskassessments, and overseeing regulatory returns. Bloom Public Health had the honour of hosting a distinguished #delegation from the Social Innovation in Health Initiative (#SIHI) Nigeria yesterday. The team was led by Prof. Obioma Nwaorgu, FAS, and accompanied by Dr Ogechukwu Aribodor, SIHI Fellow, and Prof. Chinyelu Angela Ekwunife. The Social Innovation in Health Initiative (SIHI) is a dynamic global network dedicated to advancing research in low- and middle-income countries (#LMICs). Its #mission is to foster community-engaged social #innovations that have the potential to transform healthcare delivery systems and accelerate universal health coverage (#UHC). During the visit, the delegation met with our CEO, Professor Chimezie Anyakora, who is also a consultant to SIHI. We are enthusiastic about the prospect of a meaningful #partnership with SIHI Nigeria. Bloom Public Health, represented by Pharm. ORAKWUE IKENNA, Director, Special Projects, and a delegation from the Association of Industrial Pharmacists of Nigeria (#NAIP), led by its Chairman, Pharm. Ken Onuegbu and accompanied by Head of Production, Orange Drugs, Pharm. Udoka Adegor, among others, recently toured the Lekki Free Trade Zone. (LFZ)   The #tour was essential to gain practical learning experience of the #facilities and #infrastructure in LFZ, such as the Pharma Cluster and Lekki Free Port, and to understand its port #operations and #processes.   It is worthy of note that the Lekki Free Port has been approved by the Federal Government of Nigeria to receive pharmaceutical imports and exports.
