At Data Community Africa (DCA), we are on a mission to build, nurture, and scale data talents across the continent. One of the ways we are driving this vision is by reviewing dashboards and projects from our community members and DataCamp scholars—helping them refine their skills, showcase their work, and position themselves for global opportunities. Our first review session for the year held yesterday and it was a huge success thanks to our community manager Tina Okonkwo, our Datacamp Mentors Abdulazeez Saliu Cecilia Ojile, David, Ugochukwu, Gabriel Oloruntoba and every other team lead that worked tirelessly to make this possible. We believe that talent needs visibility. Through mentorship, feedback, and exposure, we are equipping our members with the right tools to take charge and create lasting impact in the data space. From aspiring analysts to experienced professionals, we are fostering a community where growth is inevitable. If you're part of this journey, keep building, keep learning, and keep pushing. The world is watching, and we are here to support you! 💡💪 #DataCommunityAfrica #DCA #DataTalent #EmpoweringAfrica #DataScience #Analytics #DataCamp #TechForGood #CareerGrowth

My DataCamp Journey It’s Day 45! I've completed the Joining Data in SQL Course on DataCamp! Just after completing intermediate SQL course, I decide to take on SQL project little did I know I still have so much to learn on joining data and data manipulation. This course has been instrumental in laying a solid foundation for my technical skills. I'm grateful for the hands on experience provided by Data Community Africa and DataCamp This course covered a wide range of topics, including: 🔽 Introducing Inner Join 🔽 Outer Joins, Cross Joins and Self Joins 🔽 Set Theory for SQL Joins 🔽 Subqueries P.s; here is the update for those who've been asking; my DataCamp progress so far. #SQL #DataAnalysis #DataCamp #DataCommunityAfrica #LearningJourney #DataScience #BeginnerToPro

I shared the exciting news about winning the #DCADatacamp scholarship a month ago. I'm excited to share the progress I've made. ✅ Courses Completed: Python Data Fundamentals SQL Fundamentals Data Communication Concepts ✅ Skills Gained: Data manipulation with Pandas Data visualization with Matplotlib & Seaborn Intermediate-level querying with SQL ✅ Projects: Nobel Prize Analysis: Analyzing patterns in Nobel Prize winners using Pandas, exploring trends in gender, birth countries, and repeat winners. Optimizing DataFrames for Efficiency: Transforming large datasets to reduce memory usage by converting data types efficiently in Pandas. I’m halfway through the Associate Data Scientist Track with Python, and I plan to complete the same track in SQL. My goal is to work on real-world datasets, apply machine learning techniques, and continue building a strong data science portfolio. I'm grateful to God and Data Community Africa for making this possible.
