About us
Gerbera Care Foundation is an NGO that supports the welfare and health care of the girl child, provision of empowerment tools for personal growth and is passionate about eradication of physical and mental poverty in the younger generation. We Organized Cancer Awareness program and Human Papilloma virus (HPV) in February 2021 in partnership with St. Cyril observing all COVID-19 protocols. We also had great participation online to help sensitize those present about the importance of early detection of HPV and getting HPV vaccine early. In August, 2021 We organized a one-week up-skilling program to equip teenagers and young adults with digital skills to make them thrive in this new digital economy. Our passion remains centered around the girl child elevation, self-worth development, empowering teenagers and young adults, teamwork, and community service.

Ladies and gentlemen come closer let's talk... Surviving in Nigeria's today could be overbearing, with the incessant fall in Naira thereby leading to continuous rise in prices of essential commodities, however we can't keep padding up ourselves with a pillow of excuses, we've got to embrace change and creativity because the economic mess is outside your circle of influence, the truth is however bad it gets some folks are still lounging and cashing-in, a few tips to help you navigate these times: 1. Consider additional means of income: such as freelancing, virtual assistant, graphic designer, content creator, personal shopping, social media manager, mobile money agent, influencer( this is a journey you can start today), freelance car wash, cleaning services, marketing on commission, drop-shipping( this could play out in different ways even for food businesses) 2. Manage your expenses: prioritize your spending, buy only very important items and save as little as possible. 3. Invest in yourself: Develop your skills and knowledge to increase your earning potential. Attend workshops, take online courses, and network with professionals in your field. 4. Stay informed: Keep up with economic trends, government policies, and business news to make informed decisions. 5. Be innovative: Think outside the box, Embrace technology and explore new opportunities in the digital space 6. financial discipline: say no to impulsive spending, Set financial goals and work towards achieving them. 7. Build your network - as in "fellow person wey know road" join professional bodies, volunteers for NGOs and leverage your network to access opportunities and resources. 8. Stay positive: Maintain a positive mindset and believe in your ability to overcome challenges. Stay focused, persistent, and resilient in the face of adversity Surviving in a harsh economy requires a combination of smart financial decisions, innovation, and resilience. Stay proactive, stay informed, and stay focused on your goals. *Kindly share your own practical way of coping with the present economy mess in* Nigeria..
