  • From Shattered Dreams to Unstoppable Success Meet Hubi, a young man who has faced more challenges in his life than many people experience in a lifetime. Growing up in poverty, Hubi's family struggled to make ends meet. His parents worked multiple jobs, but they couldn't afford basic necessities. Despite the hardships, Hubi's determination and resilience shone bright. He excelled in school, earning top grades and winning academic awards. However, his world crumbled when his father passed away suddenly. The loss devastated Hubi, and he felt lost and alone. As the family's sole breadwinner, Hubi's mother worked tirelessly, but they struggled to survive. Hubi took on multiple part-time jobs to support his family, sacrificing his own dreams. His academic performance suffered, and he felt like giving up. But Hubi refused to let adversity define him. With a fierce determination, Hubi picked up his broken pieces and began rebuilding his life. He poured his heart into his studies, seeking solace in education. He joined community programs, finding support and mentorship from caring individuals. Hubi's breakthrough came when he secured a scholarship to pursue higher education. This opportunity ignited a fire within him. He excelled academically, developed leadership skills, and became a beacon of hope for his community. Today, Hubi is an amazing youth thriving beyond adversity. He: - Graduated with honors from university - Founded a non-profit organization supporting underprivileged youth - Became a motivational speaker, inspiring others with his story - Empowers his community through education and advocacy Hubi's journey teaches us that: Resilience can conquer even the darkest challenges. Determination can transform shattered dreams into unstoppable success. Every setback is an opportunity to grow stronger. *#MondayMotivation #Resilience #OvercomingAdversity #Inspiration #YouthEmpowerment #FromStruggleToSuccess #HubiStory #NeverGiveUp* Share Hubi's story to inspire others and remind them that no matter what life throws their way, they too can rise above and thrive!

Public Policy & Digital Economy Adviser | 17+ years in Business Consulting, Public Policy Development, Board Advisory & Government Relations | Driving Digital & Financial Inclusion for Underserved African Women & Youth.

Reflecting on the incredible success of the inaugural PoliServe Dialogue, held on October 15 to commemorate the International Day of Rural Women! This impactful gathering brought together 124 stakeholders, including 63 inspiring women from seven rural communities across the FCT. It was truly moving to witness these women—who are often underrepresented—openly share their challenges with leaders from government and the private sector. Together, we worked on co-creating practical, actionable solutions tailored to their unique needs. The women felt genuinely seen and heard, while stakeholders appreciated the chance to engage directly with those they aim to support. For instance, 9mobile received direct feedback from rural women on their services and discussed ways to enhance digital inclusion for them—providing a meaningful exchange that may not have been possible through the online communications channels. By the way, the conversations were in Pidgin. Yes, we pulled that off- so proud😊 We were honored to welcome high-level representatives from essential agencies, such as the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC), Federal Ministry of Women Affairs, Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency of Nigeria (SMEDAN), and Federal Capital Territory Internal Revenue Service (FCT-IRS). Additionally, we engaged with stakeholders from 9Mobile, UN Women, Fidelity Bank, Enhancing Financial Innovation and Access (EFInA), Policy Innovation Centre (PIC), Bilaad Development Trust, Madiba Foundation, YALI Network Abuja, Growth for Sustainable Agriculture Initiative (GSAI), Beyond the Classroom Foundation, Eco Steward Humanitarian Foundation, and Inclusive Skills Development Initiative. A heartfelt thank you to all our technical partners who helped make this event possible. We are actively following up on the commitments made during this dialogue, and we look forward to sharing success stories of positive change and impact within these rural communities. Thank you to each stakeholder for being a vital part of this transformative journey!

  • Monday Motivation!!! It's another Monday to tailor your goals, follow up and reset failed strategies. Revisit those goals and do something about the ones that haven't been seen to the end yet. At Hope Raisers Global Foundation we had a training and Seed funding empowerment program in May 2024 for 20 IDP women powered by Chats.Cash. We have been following through with beneficiaries but after the second trench of disbursement we had to allow them fly giving them a 3 months time line for revisit and here are our findings during our recent visit. Follow-up Visit IDP Women on Liquid Soap Training + Seed Funding *Date:* Friday, 18th October 2024 *Objective:* To assess the progress of the 20 IDP women who received training and Seed fund support. *Key Findings:* 1. All 20 women are still in business, demonstrating resilience and determination. 2. Challenges faced: - Increased cost of soap-making materials. - Rising transportation costs to source raw materials. 3. Despite challenges, women are still actively making sales. *Program Impact:* 1. Sustainable livelihoods: Women continue to generate income through soap-making. 2. Economic empowerment: Women's financial independence and confidence remain intact. 3. Community integration: Women's participation in the local economy promotes social cohesion. As you can see, we are still in touch with our women. That's how you too should be in touch with your goals as the week unfolds. Follow through... #idps #financialinclusion #empowerment #skillsacquisition #training #technology #CHATS #HRGF

  • We had another time with our wonderful IDP girls and few women today in commemoration of Intl Day of the Girl Child under the umbrella of Visionary African Women Summit. While speaking Deborah's story came up again and I am amazed... I am glad ... She's one of our success story Hope Raisers Global Foundation 😭😭😭 I screamed when I heard the massive progress she's making in Borno State. We are impacting lives for real. Join us don't sit on the fence and just listen. These are real testimonies. There's a video attached to this post kindly watch and be inspired, three years ago I think while we frequently visited one of the IDP camps in FCT I noticed a particular woman, how aggressive she was and had to channel her aggression into something worthwhile, in the course of our visits we had an open cheque one particular night where the women were asked what they wanted, Deborah said she wanted a sewing machine, her request came with a clause, she said Madam Hope if you give me a sewing machine I will leave this camp with my family back home. Deborah has a husband and 4 children, hails from Borno Stage, had leant how to make clothes while in the camp but didn't have a sewing machine to scale her skill. While other women were asking for money, Deborah asked for something tangible and lasting. She asked for a machine, by the following day we bought her the best quality of sewing machine, brand new, in another week she had relocated with her family back to her state of origin. Three years down the line, Deborah now has a place where she doesn't only sew but that one machine has multiplied to 10machines and she trains women. I shouted today, I was almost going mad, I charged the others to have a dream, it starts from having a dream, I told them to reject the hand outs they get in the camp and see the camp as a transitional period. Our women who we trained on soap making are busy producing and selling their soap. Do not look at the work we are doing and close your eyes to it. Whatever you can do to enable us do more please do it. Refer us, share our posts, like it. And allow God take the glory. #positivity #ids #impact #communitysupport #givingback #MakeADifference #spreadlove #empowerment #skillsacquisition
