About us

NGYouthSDGs has evolved to supporting youth and youth groups to advocate for social change with a focus on ensuring meaningful youth participation in policies and programmes for youth to lead and thrive in Nigeria. NGYouthSDGs focuses on education and leadership development, employment and livelihood and civic participation.

Are African Leaders too old to govern the young⁉️ #NGYouthSDGs Senior Programme Associate Boluwatife Ajayi joined the BBC Inquiry to discuss the state of youth leadership in Nigeria’s democratic processes. Despite Nigeria’s significant youth population, young people remain underrepresented in leadership positions. However, we acknowledge and appreciate the efforts of the few youth representatives making a difference. The conversation covers the dynamics of how to empower young people to take on leadership roles, as well as engage with the policy formulation process to create a future where Nigerian Youth can lead and thrive.✨ 🎙Tune in to listen to Boluwatife Ajayi and other leaders across Africa share their insights on the state of youth leadership in Africa.🌍 🔗 https://lnkd.in/e45ydxJA #NGYouthSDGs #Youthled #AmplifyingYouthVoices #NGYouthLeadership

A week ago, I had the incredible opportunity to represent Nigeria Youth SDGs Network at an High-Level Youth Engagement Summit organized by YouthhubAfrica and ActionAid. The summit provided a platform for meaningful conversations about the FCT we envision. During this informative gathering, youth representatives from the six area councils in Abuja shared their thoughts, ideas, and experiences regarding the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) we all aspire to create. It was inspiring to witness the diverse perspectives and aspirations of young people united in a common goal. We also took the time to articulate our collective vision for the youth in the FCT, writing down our aspirations for a safer, more inclusive community. The discussions were not only interesting but also crucial in shaping our path forward. As the founder of a youth-led organization focused on grassroots and marginalized communities across Abuja, I was honored to share my experiences and insights with professionals, #COOs, #CSOs, #government officials, and other #stakeholders as a panelist. Together, we explored effective strategies to ensure that #FCT is a safe and secure environment for everyone. A heartfelt thank you to Nigeria Youth SDGs Network for creating a platform where young changemakers can connect, learn, build capacity, and forge relationships across sectors. The opportunities I’ve gained as an associate of Nigeria Youth SDGs Network have been invaluable. I encourage everyone to follow Nigeria Youth SDGs Network across social media platforms to learn more about the amazing projects and activities available for youth-led organizations and changemakers like myself. You won’t regret it! Thank you to YouthhubAfrica for organizing such an incredible event. Through this event I had the opportunity to network and socialize with incredible individuals, and prospective partners. #YouthEngagement #NGYouthSDGs #Abuja #YouthLeadership #CommunityDevelopment #ChangeMakers
