As an extension of droplet microfluidics, SPCs have opened up new effective single-cell analysis techniques. Critical to the success of these methods is the ability to adjust compartment size and optimize molecular analysis. Compartment reduction to 30 microns has been a major technical challenge, and Atrandi Biosciences celebrates the recent milestone of the small SPC launch, which unlocks new applications in functional screening and high-throughput biology.
