Making digital solutions work for smallholder farmers 🚜 📲 Only 10% of smallholder farmers currently use digital agriculture services. The potential for impact is huge, but challenges—ranging from low digital literacy to affordability constraints—are holding many back. At MWC Barcelona, Johan van der Schaaf, designer and project manager at Bopinc, shared insights in the Digital Agriculture for the Underserved: Adaptive User Research and Impact session. He discussed lessons from GSMA - Mobile for Development AgriTech accelerator, where Bopinc supports agritechs in Africa and Asia with UX design—helping them refine their products and services through user research and inclusive design.
