Collaboration is key to advancing the alternative protein sector. endeco GmbH’s new Protein Application Center (PAC), developed with partner Bühler Group, offers opportunities to work together and to enhance innovation all along the value chain. “The center is really unique,” says Lissy Frantzen, project development – sales engineer for endeco, a premium partner at Bridge2Food North America Oct. 8-10. “We combine two concepts. Besides covering different technologies, we focus on small-batch scale to test new products and new purposes. And then we go one step farther on a continuous line to validate and scale up for industry.” Testing new ideas in a small-batch scale enables the PAC to test a broad range of process innovations to enhance the quality and functionality of protein isolates as well as valorize side streams. Having recently gone into commercial operation, the center is emerging as a central hub for exploring new materials and tailor-made processes to catch up the developing demands of the plant-based protein market. With its continuous industrial line, the PAC creates the opportunity to validate innovative processes, encourage process optimization, and scale up these processes to be implemented in industry for a sustainable food supply. With collaboration, PAC strengthens the impact on the sustainable food supply, as it connects the entire value chain from the raw material intake to finished products, whether it is plant-based meat or dairy replacement, and more. By using cutting-edge technology and partnerships with industry stakeholders, researchers and startups, the center aims to actively advance progress in protein processing, and to contribute to more sustainable and nutritious food products for the future. Register here to meet the endeco team and to hear Lissy at Bridge2Food’s largest ever North American event. 📍 Lumber Exchange Event Center, Minneapolis, MN 📅 October 8-10, 2024 Co-hosted by MBOLDmn 🔗 Register: https://lnkd.in/eG2CSacK #Bridge2Food #sustainablefood #alternativeprotein #foodinnovation #B2Fevents #Bridge2FoodNorthAmerica #endeco
