🌱 This week, BTG represented the FertiCovery Project at the FER-PLAY EU event in Brussels! 🚀 As project coordinator, Martijn Vis promoted the FertiCovery Project and its efforts in bio-based fertilisers and nutrient recovery, engaging with key stakeholders across the sector.
🌱 Today we are promoting the FertiCovery Project at the FER-PLAY EU event in Brussels! At the expo corner, we are showcasing our work on bio-based fertilisers and nutrient recovery alongside many innovative projects such as the FERTITEC Project. 💡 Our FertiCovery partner, Lucile Sever from European Biogas Association presented recommendations to address the regulatory barriers hindering the market uptake of circular fertilisers. 🟢 This event brings together producers, farmers, civil society organisations, academics, and policymakers to discuss the state-of-play and the future of circular fertilisers in Europe. 🌱 Scaling Up the Bioeconomy at Bio360 Expo! 🚀 The SCALE-UP project had an incredible time at Bio360 Expo in Nantes, where we showcased innovative bio-based solutions, connected with industry pioneers, and launched the MetaCluster on Social and Ecological Innovation in the Bioeconomy (metaCSEI). From transforming agricultural by-products into high-value materials to unlocking new funding opportunities, our dynamic presence at Stand G28 and the “Scaling-Up Innovations in Bioeconomy” conference proved that collaboration is key to a greener future. 🔬 Spotlight on Innovation: Five standout solutions—from olive-based biocomposites to binder-free straw insulation panels—demonstrated how local resources can drive sustainability and economic growth. 🌍 Beyond Bio360: SCALE-UP continues to support groundbreaking initiatives across Europe, from suberin-based fossil-free rubber in Sweden to bio-fertilizers in Macedonia. 📢 What’s Next? Wethouder Niels van den Berg bracht deze week een bezoek aan BTG. De Gemeente Enschede wil graag haar organische reststromen nog beter inzetten om een stevige klimaatimpact te maken. Samen met zijn belangrijkste beleidsadviseurs kreeg hij uitleg over het brede spectrum aan activiteiten binnen BTG en kreeg hij de nieuwste proefinstallaties te zien in de grote technologiehal. #Twente #duurzaamheid #reststromen
