We are launching a parallel European Fund, as part of our Fund 2, which will also now classify under Article 9 of the EU SFDR, further anchoring our presence in the European venture ecosystem. This strategic step reinforces our unwavering commitment to supporting early-stage climate tech solutions and innovations across Consumer Value Chains. 2️⃣ The launch of our enhanced impact framework Circular Regenerative Impact and Sustainability Protocol (CRISP) aiming to align with the emerging Global Circularity Protocol (GCP). Building on Narina Mnatsakanian’s recent arrival as Partner & Chief Impact Officer, we’ve collaborated closely with Circle Economy Foundation to develop our new Circular Regenerative Impact and Sustainability Protocol (CRISP). Aligned with the Operating Principles for Impact Management, CRISP offers a structured methodology to assess and enhance sustainability, leveraging global standards like the IMP’s Five Dimensions, Planetary Boundaries Science, Circular Transition Indicators, ESRS, and GHG Protocol. By integrating best practices from industry-leading circularity measurement tools, CRISP goes beyond standard ESG and impact reporting to measure not just greenhouse gas emissions, but also the complexity of a critical yet often overlooked component - circular systems. This is all to ensure a rigorous, transparent, and data-driven approach tailored to the early-stage nature of our portfolio. Why this matters: 🌏 Biomass extraction accounts for more than 90% of biodiversity loss due to land use changes. ❌ Resource extraction projected to rise by 60% by 2060, a linear “take-make-dispose” consumption model is no longer sustainable. 🤝 The new Global Circularity Protocol (GCP), modeled after the success of the Greenhouse Gas Protocol (GHG Protocol), will formalize how businesses set targets, measure, and report on circularity. 🥇By commencing to align our own protocol with GCP, we’re ensuring our portfolio companies lead the way in regenerative, and circular innovation.
