If we want to help customers make sustainable choices, we need to give them access to information. To fully understand how sustainable a product is, customers need to know more than we have room for on product labels. That is why we joined hands with Intergamma, Hanshow, GS1 Nederland, SRC System Integrators B.V. to demonstrate what we can already do with Digital Product Passports (DPPs). The most important takeaways we found out in our showcase:   👉 Lots of necessary data is already available, especially at companies who already work with centralized data systems like Product Information Management (PIM) systems 👉 The benefits of DPPs go far beyond consumer information. The data collected and generated can substantiate reporting and offer insights that support product development. 👉 Existing DPP solutions, PIM-systems, scanning devices and data standards are the backbone of the broader DPP-system. Why this will happen, in a nutshell: 👉 Electronic devices are often made using critical raw materials, that need to be recovered as much as possible. 👉 Though very helpful in our daily lives, electronic devices and products have substantial environmental footprints. Digital Product Passports contribute to communicating these impacts and creating about them. 👉 European legislation will demand any company putting electronic devices on the market from 2027 onwards to connect these products to Digital Product Passports. We updated Cirmar with some important new additions in functionality. 👉 𝗜𝗺𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘀 The next step in scaling up Digital Product Passports and sharing the insights gathered in Cirmar. 👉 𝗟𝗲𝘁'𝘀 𝗱𝗼 𝘀𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗲𝗻𝗱 𝗼𝗳 𝘂𝘀𝗲 You can now simulate with the end of use of products and discover the benefits of organising recycling and/or refurbishment. And all these benefits are automatically translated to KPI's by Cirmar. 👉 𝗦𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗰𝗮𝗻 Digital Product Passports allow you to share product information transparantly. There are however cases in which you might not want to share the 'secret of the chef'. You can now hide the exact material composition and only share material groups if necessary. 💪 𝗟𝗲𝘁'𝘀 𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝘀𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗗𝗶𝗴𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁 𝗣𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘀! Our new features will make this a lot easier.
