𝗔 𝗳𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗵 𝗳𝗿𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗲𝗻𝗰𝘆 𝗮𝘁 𝗗𝗲𝗺𝗰𝗼𝗻 We’ve taken a new step in the world of acoustics. With the partial acquisition of 4Silence, we are expanding our expertise in noise control and vibration reduction under Demcon sound solutions.   This isn’t just about measuring sound. It is about solving the deeper challenges that vibrations create, especially in high-tech systems where even the slightest disruption can have major consequences. Ideally, one would prevent these vibrations by design.   Demcon Sound Solutions will focus on multiphysics simulation studies, analyzing how structures behave under different acoustic and vibrational forces. It will work closely with Demcon multiphysics, given their close relationship. Founder Ysbrant Wijnant: “Long-distance noise propagation is one of the most complex problems in acoustics. Whether it’s wind turbines or aircraft, predicting how sound travels over great distances involves endless approximations, and the formulas often fall short. Just look at Schiphol Airport where the gap between measured noise levels and human perception continues to fuel debate. Provincie Noord-Brabant is making a significant investment in the future of green energy by supporting the development of a molten salt reactor!   The consortium of THORIZON, VDL Groep, and Demcon will collaborate over the coming years to develop and test critical components for this innovative reactor.   𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿 𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹? 🌍 𝗜𝗻𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗦𝗮𝗳𝗲𝘁𝘆: Utilizing liquid salt as both coolant and nuclear fuel carrier, the reactor automatically halts if it stops, as the salt solidifies. ⚡ 𝗘𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗴𝘆 𝗣𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗵𝗼𝘂𝘀𝗲: Capable of powering 250,000 households or a large data center. ♻️ 𝗦𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗦𝗼𝗹𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: Can use existing nuclear waste as fuel, making it a game-changer for green energy. 🏭 𝗦𝗺𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗠𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗹𝗮𝗿: Falls under the category of Small Modular Reactors (SMRs), meaning it can be produced in a factory and is more flexible in deployment.
