𝗦𝗶𝗼𝘂𝘅 𝗴𝗼𝗲𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘄𝗶𝗻 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗥𝗼𝗯𝗼𝗖𝘂𝗽 In 2027, it must happen. Sioux Technologies and PSV winning the RoboCup. The team of Sioux engineers that wants to make this happen has recently started working hard and will enter the arena of this an international competition for soccer robots next year. Why this ambition, what is the added value for Sioux? Initiator Xi Luo: ‘We want to show what we do and can do. Above all, it's also fun.’ System Designer Mechatronics, Xi Luo, is spearheading the RoboCup team within Sioux Technologies. The prestigious RoboCup competition is a global showcase for robotics and AI, and Sioux and PSV are determined to make their mark. Xi Luo: ‘By participating in the RoboCup, we can share our passion for innovation and groundbreaking technology and show what we are capable of.’ The dot on the horizon of the RoboCup is robots playing against humans in a physical sport, thinking and acting on an equal level so they can play soccer together. ‘That's a fascinating vision of the future - it will make us think even more about the difference is between humans and machines,’ Luo says. 'But it's also incredibly fun. Sioux wants to contribute to making that future a reality.' The journey ahead is challenging, but Luo is confident in his team's abilities. With a strong foundation in hardware, software, and engineering, Sioux is well-equipped to build a competitive robot team. The collaboration with PSV, a professional soccer club, adds an extra layer of advanced data analysis to access each robot's performance and formulate the RoboCup team's tactics. This will take the game to the next level. ---- Read the full story of Xi Luo and the Sioux RoboCup team on the Sioux website: https://lnkd.in/eBz-iJcc ---- #RoboCup #robotics #AI #technology #innovation #SiouxTechnologies #PSV #engineering #soccer #webringhightechtolife #ambition

𝗔𝗻 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗝𝗼𝗿𝗶𝘀 𝗟𝘂𝘆𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗷𝗸 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗽𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗹𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 This week, author and journalist Joris Luyendijk was our guest to talk about privilege and inclusion based on his study and book on the 7 Checkboxes. After a nice bite to eat and a refreshing drink, Joris took to the stage. The compelling stories and facts Joris shared with the audience impressed the Sioux colleagues present, who had come to this evening of inspiration together with their partners and children. Did you know e.g. that only 3% of the Dutch meet these so-called tick marks. And that these 7-Tickers hold almost all the power in large companies? During the interactive part, there were plenty of questions raised, but regularly impressive silences fell because of the confrontational questions Joris himself put to the audience. This will certainly be talked about more...and that is precisely what this evening is all about. Besides developing technical skills, we at Sioux also think it’s important to invest in soft skill development and more understanding for each other. Because that way we can achieve even more together as one high-tech family. —— #siouxtechnologies #webringhightechtolife #hightech #highfun #jorisluyendijk #7vinkjes #privilige #dei #inclusion

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗯𝗶𝗴𝗴𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝘀𝗲𝗰𝗿𝗲𝘁 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗿𝗼 𝗰𝘆𝗰𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗽𝗲𝗹𝗼𝘁𝗼𝗻? 𝗜𝘁’𝘀 𝗖𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗲𝗱 In the Giro d'Italia 2024, things were shook up dramatically by Classified's innovative two-speed hub system. Classified Cycling's Powershift hub seamlessly integrates into the rear wheel, eliminating the need for a front derailleur. This innovation offers a significant aerodynamic advantage, particularly valuable during Stage 7's time trial, which featured a challenging climb – a scenario where a front derailleur is traditionally essential. The results were undeniable. Riders using the Powershift hub dominated the time trial, securing second, third, and fourth place finishes with Filippo Ganna (2nd), Magnus Sheffield (3rd), and Thymen Arensman (4th). By using the Classified's Powershift hub system, the riders steamed up the hill without a front derailleur, while giving them the maximum aerodynamic advantage on the flat parts of the course. Combined with the ability to change gears smoothly and swiftly, even under maximum load, this pushed the team to the top of the timing chart. An achievement which didn't go unnoticed in the cycling world! Efficiency and speed was demonstrably improved. We wonder if we will see Classified's revolutionary hub system write further cycling history... 𝗠𝗲𝗲𝘁 '𝗗𝗼𝗻𝗸𝗲𝘆 𝗞𝗼𝗻𝗴' 𝗧𝗶𝗺: 𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗦𝗶𝗼𝘂𝘅 𝗲𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗼𝘆𝗲𝗲 𝗴𝗼𝗲𝘀 𝗯𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗮𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗯𝗼𝘅𝗶𝗻𝗴 Every Thursday, the gloves go on and bangs echo through the room. Led by former kickboxing champion Robbie Hageman, there is a fanatic boxing training going on. Tim de Haas has been boxing with a diverse group of colleagues for many years and visibly enjoys it. Tim: ‘It's an incredibly fun way to keep fit, it’s good for my posture and it's also a really sociable club.’ Tim has since acquired the nickname Donkey Kong from his colleagues. Chuckling, he says: ‘Apparently my hooks are quite hard. I always go full throttle, it's in me. Whether at work, or while boxing. I like to get the most out of myself, every day. Just like many colleagues around me for that matter,' he adds. According to Tim, the thing that makes boxing at Sioux extra enjoyable is the connection it creates with colleagues from other disciplines. ‘I train with both men and women from Mathware, Software, HR and Mechanics. It is precisely this mix that makes it extra valuable and fun for me.' Besides providing a space to exercise, initiatives to stay fit are extra encouraged by Sioux from the VitaliTech budget. Annually, each employee receives €1,000 gross to spend on health, sports and gadgets. From boxing gloves to sports watches, as long as it affects the mental or physical health of the employees.
