The Fourth EAGE Marine Acquisition Workshop has concluded after three incredible days in Oslo, filled with rich content, networking, and new learnings. Yesterday, we wrapped up with a highly engaging workshop course, "Introduction to Modern Marine Seismic Surveys: Scope, Design, and Implementation," led by the expert Xander Campman from Shell. Participants explored the intricacies of seismic surveys, from subsurface mapping to understanding the environmental, financial, and operational constraints that define survey designs. 🌊 Day 2 at The Fourth EAGE Workshop on Marine Acquisition 2024 in Oslo was a success! 🌊 We explored Distributed Acoustic Sensing, Marine Seismic Source Technology, and CCS through insightful presentations and dynamic discussions. A standout was Marc Rocke’s talk on “Improving Survey Efficiency Through the Use of Point Sources,” and Per Eivind Dhelie’s keynote on “Imaging Using Surface DAS for 4D CCS Monitoring.” The evening was a highlight with the Norwegian Evening on the Fjord aboard the Helena, offering a relaxing setting to enjoy local food and network.
