At Erren Recondition, we believe there’s a better way. Our sustainable solutions give clothing, shoes, and accessories a second life through reconditioning, preventing needless destruction and contributing to a circular economy. ♻️ Once reconditioned, these items can be returned to stores in excellent condition, ready to be sold again, rather than being discarded. Van schoenmaker in 1890 naar duurzame G-Star RAW re<<wear leverancier Vandaag waren we vanuit Stichting Citymarketing Arnhem te gast bij Erren Recondition. Peter Erren liet ons kennismaken met het imposante verhaal van vier generaties Erren. In mei 1890 legde de toen 33-jarige Peterhannes Erren de basis voor wat Erren Recondition nu is. Door zich te vestigen als zelfstandig schoenmaker. Hij werkte zich op tot fabrikant met aanzien, maar een nooit betaalde boot vol schoenen bracht hem en zijn familie naar de rand van de afgrond. Een geschiedenis van ruim 130 jaar maakt duidelijk hoe zonen leerden van hun vaders. Van hun vakkennis, van hun successen, maar ook van hun fouten. leder van de vier generaties Erren deed op eigen manier iets met schoenen; geen van de vier kreeg iets cadeau. Met hard werken en inventief inspelen op "wat hun tijd hen bracht" werden ze sterker. Als familie en als bedrijf. Vandaag de dag moet de vierde generatie Erren het in Arnhem juist hebben van boten vol schoenen en vrachtwagens vol herbruikbare kleding. Niet "stoffig" maar geheel van deze tijd. We value sustainability and re-use! 🌏 At Erren Recondition, if we can't recondition a product, we have sustainable solutions. We're proud to say that 𝟵𝟱% of goods that come in with problems are given a sustainable future use! Only 𝟱% end up being incinerated, and even then, the heat generated is used for district heating. Here's how we do it: 1. RE-USE ♻️ We give products a second chance by processing and restoring items like shoes for a leading safety equipment supplier. Lightly worn shoes are donated to the Soles4Souls foundation, supporting their mission to combat global poverty. 2. UPCYCLING 🔄 Our team creatively upcycles "worn out" products into new items, such as repurposing waste leather into barbecue aprons. We also turn abandoned festival tents into waterproof backpack covers through the "The Bag Protector" project. Check it out at www.thebagprotector.nl. 3. RECYCLING ♻️ When products reach the end of their life, we recycle them. Clothing is sorted so specialized companies can create new fabrics. For items where raw materials can't be recovered, incineration at Duiven's plant is the last resort, providing energy for local heating.
