The Precedent: A Landmark eyrise® B.V. Project in Collaboration with YUGENING Architecture. We are proud to showcase The Precedent in Brussels, a project where eyrise® dynamic glass played a central role in transforming the space into a beacon of human-centered design. Another exciting project we realized in Berlin at the Schönhauser Allee n°9 in the hip neighborhood of Prenzlauer Berg. This LEED BD+C and WELL Core v2 green-certified building is constructed with mixed-use in mind: office space, gastronomy and events. rw+ Architects and Pott Architects, included penthouse floors in their design with eyrise® B.V.® solar shading glass, to protect the building from overheating, but keep views to the city at all times.

A short story on workplace health. The Workplace Vitality Hub on the High Tech Campus in Eindhoven is a unique place. They investigate how we can improve wellbeing on the workplace in all its aspects. Recently Marieke van Beurden and her colleagues did a “what if” thought experiment. They had no influence on the type of façade with blinds that was installed on the whole building, in which they occupy one floor.  So what if they had eyrise® B.V. dynamic glass? The majority of the respondents indicate that a permanent access to the outside, certainly in the direction of the pond, the sheep and the trees is an important part of a pleasant work environment. A solar and heat protected space with a view that is never disturbed by automatic blinds would be of great value. Moreover, it would be healthier, according Jan Denneman, chair of the Good Light Group “Exposure to 'biological darkness' disrupts our internal clock, reducing sleep quality, energy, and alertness, with negative effects on productivity, health, and well-being. Good lighting means the right light at the right time, and it can be done sustainably—by sitting near a By sitting close to a window with permanent access to daylight and outside views."
