Three down, one to go 📔 Q3 is officially in the books and so is our Q3 report! Time flies when you’re fast charging through Europe, and in three short months we were able to: 📈 Increase our revenue by 44% 🔌 Deliever 35 GWh to over 470,000 active customers 🏗️ Secure 13 new locations, bringing our total to 114 secured locations over the last year The best part: the year isn’t over! ☕ ⚡ Afgelopen woensdag vond de eerste editie van het EV Café plaats, georganiseerd door de Vereniging Elektrische Rijders en Fastned, met als thema: De Kwestie Netcongestie In gesprek met deelnemers vanuit netbeheerders, overheden, belangenorganisaties en het bedrijfsleven namen we de grote uitdagingen onder de loep van #netcongestie en hoe we desondanks de vaart in de transitie naar elektrisch rijden kunnen houden 🚗 🔌 Aan de hand van interessante keynote speeches en bevlogen paneldiscussies werd gezocht naar nieuwe oplossingen en mogelijkheden om de nodige laders bij te kunnen blijven plaatsen zonder het toch al volle stroomnet te veel te belasten Onder alle deelnemers leefde een breed gedeeld besef dat we niet alleen meer stroomkabels nodig hebben, maar dat we ook veel efficiënter en gedurfder om moeten gaan met het bestaande stroomnet 💡 Als we stroomgebruik weten te verplaatsen van de pieken naar de momenten waar nog ruimte zit, kunnen we veel meer partijen aansluiten en een snelle transitie mogelijk maken 💪 Veel dank aan de dagvoorzitters Ellen Hiep & Nancy Kabalt- Groot, de keynote sprekers Michiel Langezaal, Robert van Gent , Sanne de Boer, Paul Giesbertz, Hallgeir Horne, en de panelleden Jaap Burger, Maarten Venselaar, Rob Mouris, Lex Carlier, Olof van der Gaag, Erik de Bruijn, Maarten van de Loo, en Henk Fidder Benieuwd waar Fastned de oplossingen ziet? One of our biggest stations yet 👀 We are happy to announce that we have won the A/S Storeælt tender in Denmark! With this tender, we are planning to build a HUGE station that has…wait for it…20 charging spots, 400kW chargers, and of course, our iconic yellow canopies ⚡ To spice things up even more, the station will also feature two dedicated truck charging lanes to prepare for the future of truck charging in Denmark 🚛🔌 Are you ready for station #5 in Denmark? Another check-in on our climb to sustainability 🧗♂️ Earlier this year, we were successfully level 4 certified as part of the CO₂ Performance Ladder! In that time, we took a deep dive to identify ways we can reduce our carbon footprint at our offices, in our travel, and at our stations: 🚧 Our construction team uses - you guessed - a fleet of electric vans to service our stations. We took it a step further and even got an electric scissor lift that we use for station renovations! The more stations we build, the more we look for construction tools that we can electrify to make every step of the station creation process as sustainable as possible 🚅 Trains over planes: As we expand across Europe, we prioritise taking trains and carpooling as much as possible. We have a fleet of electric pool cars that team members use to visit other countries and offices, and when it’s time to hop on a train or we need to fly to a location, we use a travel management tool to help us keep track of our business travel data 💡 As we speak, we are moving our office electricity use to renewable sources as much as possible. If there is a situation where we can’t do this, we double down and buy guarantees of origin to ensure that this energy is still renewable! Sustainability and reducing our CO2 footprint are a shared responsibility. It’s time to re-certify both our CO2 Performance Ladder status, and our commitment to combating climate change in every element at Fastned 🤝 Happy Charging 🔋
