𝗙𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗟𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗕𝗮𝗿𝗻 𝗧𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱 Yesterday we hit the road for the 2025 FreeLivingBarn tour. With two groups of interested dairy farmers, we visited several farms that are already working with this innovative barn concept. Participants got a close look at how the 𝘍𝘳𝘦𝘦𝘓𝘪𝘷𝘪𝘯𝘨𝘉𝘢𝘳𝘯 functions in practice – including the 𝘉𝘦𝘥𝘥𝘪𝘯𝘨𝘊𝘭𝘦𝘢𝘯𝘦𝘳, which efficiently removes cow pats from the bedding. Freedom of movement, plenty of space and clean, dry bedding are central to the concept. The result: healthier, more vital cows and practical benefits for farmers. This week, our French colleagues are at GAEC de Rigueses with SAS Méheust to install 𝗦𝗽𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗿 in the milking parlour. The setup consists of a 2x4 herringbone milking parlour where one type of feed will be fed. Thanks to Spider, this farmer now benefits from: ✅ Individualized concentrate feeding; ✅ Stimulation for cows to enter the milking parlour; ✅ Improved milk flow; ✅ More calmness and efficiency in the milking process.
