In the lead up to Global CX Day at #ING, we take a look at a #CX success story coming from ING España&Portugal!🌟Through their ‘closing the loop’ process, they’ve taken customer feedback to the next level! 🚀 How does it work? Through email satisfaction surveys, they gather customer feedback. Every single employee, from customer service reps to IT engineers and even tribe leads, get to read and respond to customer feedback personally. This isn’t just customer service; it’s a full-team effort to get closer to our customers and continuously improve our services. 💪 CX lead, David Gea Arrojo, estimates that the team responds to around 35,000 customer comments yearly! Customers feel heard, valued, and see real changes based on their feedback. This dedication has paid off big time too, with Forbes awarding ING in Spain, along with ING in Germany, Australia, and Poland as one of the World’s Best Banks!🏆 Well done team, today we celebrate you! 🙌 Want to read more? No Meet Tom-Martijn Roelofs. He’s ING’s global head of Security Strategy and Data and last week, he was a speaker at the Gartner conference in London, covering DORA! Missed it? Here’s a snapshot to get you up to speed: ❓       What exactly is #DORA? Digital Operational Resilience Act (DORA), is European Union’s new regulation that comes into force in January 2025. 💡      What problem is it trying to solve? With ever-increasing digitalisation in the financial services industry, it becomes apparent to design and operate our services so that we are digitally resilient to the various root causes of outages, including cyber-attacks. 🚀     What has #ING been doing to prepare for DORA? ING is implementing the requirements from DORA via a COO-lead program. One of the first steps was to assess the impact of DORA and distinguish between new requirements and those that we were already undertaking. Then, we took the quite complex step to define our critical business services and register the relevant applications and infrastructure connected to these. The last part will be to ensure compliance to the regulatory technical standards of all critical business services, and this is still ongoing.   😎      Will DORA have a direct impact on customers and/or clients? The Act will not directly impact customers and clients. It is all about financial institutions making sure their critical business services are sufficiently resilient. 📅      When will DORA be introduced? The law passed the European Parliament in November 2022, and becomes effective on 17 January 2025. 🌎      What impact will there be outside of the EU? As an EU law, DORA will have a big impact across the EU, the effects of which will be noticed by non-EU based providers. EU-based financial institutions will implement requirements uniformly, e.g. via global services, policies, and internal standards, which will have a big impact on service providers, , such as telecommunications companies, and this will be noticed outside of the EU. Today, we bring you our Climate Progress Update 2024. This is one of the ways we communicate about the steps we’re taking to be a leader when it comes to accelerating the low-carbon transition. Here are some highlights: 🤝 Client engagement – we’re improving how we engage with our clients to steer and support their progress in the transition. This includes putting in place a data-driven assessment and decision-making process. ⚡ Energy financing – following science and guidelines, we’re stopping all new general financing to pure-play upstream companies that continue to open new fields and we will stop providing new financing for new LNG export terminals after 2025. ☝ Terra approach – we provide an update on how we’re steering carbon-heavy sectors of our portfolio towards net zero, including expanding our Terra approach into aluminium and dairy. 👍 Advocacy and collaboration – we outline the steps we’re taking and once again emphasise how important this is to our approach.
