Two weeks ago, I got the opportunity to be part of an event organized by Foundation for Critical Choices for India (FCCI) since 1980 and Foundation for Indian Diaspora in Europe (FIDE-IDC). The topic of the event was 'Empowering Indian Diaspora Through Sports' which was organized with the aim 'to foster community spirit, promote social integration, and highlight the significance of sports in professional and personal development'. As a representative of Koninklijke Nederlandse Cricket Bond (KNCB) and former international cricket player and captain, I was asked to be part of a discuss panel to talk about my experiences and the influence sport has had on my life, personally and professionally. Afterwards there was time for networking and exchanging ideas, and I can definitely say there are lot's of opportunities!🏏🤗 Not only as someone passionate about (girls and women's) cricket, but also as a lecturer at International Sport Management | Sport Studies where the focus lies on using sport as a means to make the world better. Between the 1st and 16th of November the Dutch men will play several 50 over matches against Oman and United Arab Emirates. These matches are part of the World Cup qualification process for 2027 and will be broadcasted live at www.icc.tv . Additional they will play three T20 matches against Oman. #GratitudePost As the Netherlands cricket session came to an end two weeks ago, I would like to take this opportunity to thank Koninklijke Nederlandse Cricket Bond (KNCB) and Adriaan van den Dries for providing me with the opportunity to facilitate matches. Sharing two images from my 1st session: 1) I served as the match umpire in a club match where the Netherlands Women's Captain participated 2) During the post-match presentation, I met the captain and opener of the Netherlands Men's Team, as I officiated the U15 Finals match. I shall look forward to the next sessions and stay committed to the development of cricket in the Netherlands... #kncb #umpiring

Vrijdag vond de Pakistan Ambassador’s cricket Cup 2024 plaats. Een traditie sinds 1988 waar een cricket team met NL- spelers met Pakistaanse roots speelt tegen het Nederlands A-team. Cricket is een wereldsport 🏏 en ook een krachtige verbinding in de samenleving. Mooi om samen met 🇵🇰 ambassadeur Suljuk Mustansar Tarar de Awards uit te reiken.
