What is a training session given by our portfolio company, Enliven Empathy, really like? Here's a recent video of one of its sessions. 👇📽️ This video shows Enliven Empathy's recent training with the Custodial Institutions Agency (Dienst Justitiële Inrichtingen) which resulted in open, heartfelt stories and sharing. One participant said, "Experiencing this firsthand [through Enliven’s immersive tech] is so much more powerful than any other medium.” 🙌 Wow, what an accolade for the importance of training sessions like these. This training for a governmental organization went back to Enliven's roots, as Founder Alex Tavassoli explains: "Before expanding to support corporates on their journey toward safer workplaces and genuine belonging, Enliven began its mission in the social sector—working with the Department of Justice, youth services, and other organizations tackling heavy societal issues like domestic abuse and mild intellectual disabilities. Many of my newer followers may not know the depth of Enliven’s impact across the Netherlands in these areas." I know you can't see what the participants are seeing on the VR goggles in the video and that's the real impact of the training. 💪 Want to experience this with your team? Some sessions really hit home on multiple levels. Before expanding to support corporates on their journey toward safer workplaces and genuine belonging, Enliven began its mission in the social sector—working with the Department of Justice, youth services, and other organizations tackling heavy societal issues like domestic abuse and mild intellectual disabilities. Many of my newer followers may not know the depth of Enliven’s impact across the Netherlands in these areas. This Tuesday, March 3rd, we were back with the Custodial Institutions Agency (Dienst Justitiële Inrichtingen (DJI)), and what an inspiring group we got to kick off with. Despite a tight schedule, we heard such open, heartfelt sharing. Through these stories, it’s clear there’s a strong desire—and real willingness—within DJI to turn inclusive ideals into concrete steps, so every team member can show up fully, speak up, contribute, and feel valued, heard, and that they belong. A few quotes that stayed with me: • “These things sure happen often here.” • “Inclusion is indeed about everyone, and we need everyone to achieve it.” • “Experiencing this firsthand [through Enliven’s immersive tech] is so much more powerful than any other medium.” Special thanks to the Opleidingsinstituut DJI (Academy’s) key stakeholders, Nazerien Goelamhoesen, Hester J., Maroesja Samsoedien, Danielle Smout, Erik Joosten, Marijke Blank, and Mirelle Heerdink for taking this important first step with us. Huge appreciation to Sophie Heuves for organizing and to our DJI familiar facilitator, Fatima Bouddokar, for guiding the session. And last but not least Amir Tavassoli, our recently joined program manager social work & education, for the tech facilitation. Onward to the next steps—because real change starts with one conversation, one immersive experience, and one open mind at a time. ————— 🥽 Curious for “the most impactful” inclusion program for your enterprise?
