𝐖𝐞𝐞𝐤𝐥𝐲 𝐍𝐞𝐭𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤 𝐔𝐩𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐞 - 𝐌𝐢𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐞𝐱𝐩𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐬 𝐨𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐍𝐨𝐫𝐝𝐢𝐜𝐬! We are entering the Nordic market with a charging hub in Varberg, Sweden, featuring eight bays equipped with 4 high-performance CCS chargers, delivering up to 400 kW. In phase two, more bays and MCS (Megawatt Charging System) chargers will be added. The hub is located strategically on the TEN-T Scandinavia-Mediterranean corridor between Gothenburg and Malmö in southwest Sweden, near exit 55 on the E6 motorway. Varberg, a major transport node, was carefully selected for its accessibility and importance in the region. Milence reinforces its commitment to sustainable road transport by providing green energy and adopting CO2-reducing concrete paving practices, ensuring a 30-year lifespan. “Sweden is one of the leading countries in Europe when it comes to sustainability and energy transition, where electric road transport is a reality today. This is one of our key markets and fleet operators can now start using the Milence network. This is possible thanks to the support we receive from all the relevant stakeholders in the market, for which we are very grateful, and we are happy that our hub openings are becoming a platform for exchange and cooperation," says our CEO, Anja van Niersen. Weekly network update! This week: The Netherlands. Our charging hub in Venlo has been expanded with the addition of 4 more charging bays and our signature arch concept. Just in time for this week's practical tests for e-trucks coordinated by the Living Lab Heavy Duty Charging Plazas pilot, which Milence has been a part of since last year. Six charging hubs across the country were tested in real-life conditions, including our hub in Venlo. Heavy-duty trucks from DAF Trucks NV, Daimler Truck AG, Renault Trucks and Volvo Trucks completed various scenarios designed to simulate the challenges of day-to-day operations, from truck arrivals to driver access and reservations. The success of the test strengthens the drive towards an efficient and scalable charging infrastructure that will support the rapid expansion of electric transport across Europe.
