Mental health has overtaken cancer as the top health concern for Britons - a shift that mirrors a growing global trend. A recent survey by Ipsos reveals a fundamental change in health priorities. 54% of Britons now cite mental health as their biggest worry, up from 50% in 2018. This surge isn't isolated to the UK. Globally, mental health concerns have jumped from 27% to 45% in just five years. Experts point to several factors behind this shift: 💭 Rising pressures from the cost of living crisis 💭 Increased awareness of male violence against women 💭 The lasting mental health effects of the COVID pandemic The upside to this awareness? More people recognising mental health as a priority means more support for those who are struggling. Let's turn this growing concern into positive action. Together, we can build healthier, happier workplaces across Europe. 💚 Article: https://lnkd.in/dQdv-tad #mentalhealth #wellbeing #news

Quiet quitting and workplace well-being: are they connected? 🤔 At our recent HR Summit, James Owen Lewis shared insights on this timely topic. He explained that quiet quitting often stems from deeper issues, such as a lack of purpose or toxic work culture. While well-being plays a role, it's not the sole factor. “Well-being is actually the outcome of work,” James noted. “Things your business does impact well-being - and they also influence whether an individual wants to stay with the organisation.” To truly address quiet quitting, it’s essential to understand the underlying causes of poor well-being.
