Planet Reuse - Platform & Network for Reusable Packaging
Non-profitorganisaties
We bring professionals together to connect, learn & collaborate on the topic of reuse & reusable packaging solutions.
Over ons
Planet Reuse is becoming the first European online platform and network bringing together professionals to connect, learn and collaborate on the topic of reuse and reusable packaging solutions. Our vision is to facilitate the transition from linear single-use to reusable packaging systems. This will reduce our impact on natural ecosystems, dependence on finite resources and complex global supply chains, and increase the resilience of businesses. The non-profit foundation (to be founded in 2022/2023) behind Planet Reuse is impact-driven, transparent and independent. It is neutral regarding content, fact-based and scientifically sound, ensured by a committee of experts in the field. An advisory board will ensure the platform remains neutral and independent of any influence.

Each year, tons of packaging waste end up in landfills, incinerators, or the environment, causing carbon emissions to rise. There are already many reusable packaging solutions available on the market to prevent and reduce waste. What is standing in the way of their widespread adoption and use? What are the experiences of these reuse pioneers, and what are they planning to scale? Our guests Lenka Mynarova, Klara Hanaková Makovská and Ondrej Sirocka will provide an overview of the current situation of reusable packaging in the Czech Republic, explain how well-designed reusable systems can significantly reduce and prevent waste, and bring multiple environmental and economic benefits. Throughout the webinar, our speakers will share insights and experiences from their real-life practice. This webinar will be conducted in Czech and will be moderated by Veronika Borkova, local coordinator at Planet Reuse, and co-organised with Institut Cirkulární Ekonomiky, z. ú. 👉 To attend, register > https://lnkd.in/ebRgPjJJ #packaging #circulareconomy #reuse

Thousands of events are organized each year in Romania. Reusable packaging is one of the solutions to minimise waste, potentially reduce greenhouse gas emissions, costs, the use of resources and build stronger brand values and identities. Also, it is an opportunity for event organisers to be prepared to comply with upcoming regulations. On 13 November we invite our community to a dedicated webinar in Romanian to get an overview of the EU legislation related to reusable packaging and learn about inspiring reuse solutions curated at events across Europe, and in Romania. The event is co-organised by Social Innovation Solutions and a side-event of the Climate Change Summit with Damien Thiery, Alexandru Boncu, Roxana Cojocaru, Fernando Rodríguez-Mata and Anna Desogus

🌍 Invitation to the European Reuse Barometer press conference: Navigating the Challenges and Opportunities of reusable packaging 📦 🏭 Single-use packaging production is expected to continue growing over the next decade, which means more waste and more raw material consumption—issues that recycling alone can't solve. 🌿 However, reusable packaging offers a sustainable solution, reducing the environmental impact and helping us transition toward raw material independence. But let’s face it—navigating the world of reusable packaging isn't easy! - Stakeholders, from producers and solution providers to policymakers and investors, are faced with a maze of uncertainty: - Producers need to understand how reusable solutions work as they phase out single-use packaging. - Reuse solution providers need insights into best practices and the hurdles to scaling up. - Investors and policymakers need more data to guide their decisions on the economic viability and regulatory frameworks. 🌟 In response, InOff Plastic, in collaboration with New ERA - New European Reuse Alliance , Zero Waste Europe, and Planet Reuse - Platform & Network for Reusable Packaging , is proud to invite you to the press conference that will introduce the European Reuse Barometer—the first of its kind. 📊 This conference will be held this Monday 23rd at 11am in Brussels, you can also join it online. 📥 Register now to join us either in person or online. 🔗 https://lnkd.in/dSvzsPqF Let’s work together to build a more sustainable future with reusable packaging! 🌍💪
