Software testing as we know it is going through a revolution… So we were thrilled to host the Quality Engineering Foundation in our Amsterdam office, where they shared their vision on the transformation from a “testing” mindset, towards ensuring Quality. These meet-ups are a great way to join a network of other passionate Quality Engineers, talk about quality and the developments in the field, and hear real life experiences from industry thought leaders. Here are the some highlights from the event: ➡ Sri Atluri, Founder and CEO of QEF, shared his vision on the future of our industry - diving deep into AI-driven testing, continuous quality integration, and the exciting possibilities ahead. ➡ Sri Atluri and Santosh Kumar Yamsani, led an engaging ‘Ask Us Anything’ session, answering audience questions and providing valuable insights. ➡ Sandeep Singh Thukral gave a hands-on Playwright tech session that left us all buzzing with new ideas and approaches. And special shout to Akshaya Gupta - It’s always a good time when you’re hosting! 🎤 Interested in attending the next QA Community meet up? We are proud of our dedicated team here at spriteCloud, where our passionate Test Engineers are committed to elevating the quality of our clients’ products every single day. 🚀 What was the first bug you ever discovered? #InternationalTestersDay #spriteCloud #QualityMatters

Is your software quality really better than your competitors? Our clients often desire one thing: “be better than the competition" But what does "better" really mean? Being better isn't just about having more features or faster updates. It’s about gaining and sustaining market share through consistent quality. The reality is that prioritising quality in your product releases requires focus and investment. It’s not enough to just push out updates. You need to make sure those updates enhance the user experience without introducing new issues. Poor performance and bugs can quickly damage your company's reputation. Remember, in a crowded market, quality is the ultimate differentiator. It’s the factor that turns users into loyal customers and customers into ambassadors. So, where does your software quality stand today?

One of the biggest mistakes I see companies make when they’re hiring for an internal Test Engineer… Is assuming the process will be quick and straightforward. In reality, hiring a great candidate takes a lot of time and effort, and during this search there is often no dedicated testing capacity. Projects slow down, deadlines get pushed back, and teams are stretched thin. The solution? Bringing in an expert in the interim period. Hiring an interim QA or Test Engineer guarantees a quality-gate, and ensures that other team members can focus on their core tasks rather than overworking and under-delivering, trying to fill the gap. It’s hard to find the right people, but having an expert external support can help at short notice, guaranteeing to be productive from day one. Plus, when your internal hire is finally onboarded, the handover is seamless. So, why risk delays when you can keep your projects on track and move forward?

There are many Test Automation strategies with specific focus - Pyramid, Diamond, Honeycomb for example. Typically we can see most Test Automation is emphasised in unit testing, but I’m curious...

Over 15 years ago, people were scared of test automation… I remember a time before spriteCloud when I worked as a Test Automation Engineer, Test Automation was seen as “an unpredictable cost.” It has been fascinating to see how much has changed since then, and how big the field of QA and software testing has grown. I’m happy to see companies embrace Test Automation, making their testing processes more efficient. Working smarter, not harder! This idea of making things more efficient has been with me since I was a kid. I remember dismantling my beloved Atari 2600 when it broke and trying to figure out how to make it work again! I’ve always loved solving puzzles, and seeing if things can be done more efficiently, and to a higher quality standard. What drives your love for QA and software testing?
