SeafoodSource- 21 March 2025 Portsmouth, New Hampshire, U.S.A.-based The Center for Responsible Seafood (TCRS), formerly known as the Responsible Aquaculture Foundation, will focus its June 2025 Shrimp Summit, held this year in Bali, Indonesia, on the issues sector stakeholders voiced at the 2025 Seafood Expo North America (#SENA). The National Fisheries Institute (NFI) is supporting hundreds of U.S. seafood businesses working to deliver best practice for digital traceability and meet new U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) food traceability requirements by partnering with the GDST. The new partnership is a game-changer for seafood companies in the U.S. as the new traceability data requirements, known as “FSMA 204” rule, obliges those exporting to and handling foods in the U.S. to implement the capture and exchange of standardized data.
