🚀 Honored to “push the button” and officially launch the evolution of Founded in the North and the new Future Tech Ventures! 🚀 Being part of this ecosystem has been instrumental for us at Flow • Money Management Products. We’ve grown from a small startup in Friesland into a company that helps platforms integrate seamless banking services. Today, as a founder from Friesland, I had the privilege to help launch Founded as it takes the next big step in evolving their platform, and to celebrate the official launch of Future Tech Ventures empowering even more startups in the Northern Netherlands. A huge congratulations to Niek Huizenga and the team at Future Tech Ventures on their launch. Their support for early-stage, high-tech startups in the North is vital, and it’s great to see them ready to make an impact. 🌱 As a founder, I’ve found the perfect balance of working in a fast-paced sector while living in Friesland with my family. Money20/20 was grand this year, literally! From 🏢 conference halls to 🚘 cabrios to 🌇 rooftops, networking opportunities were everywhere. The company is now offering a middleware solution that enables providers of accounting software and wealth management services to offer enhanced financial services. This pivot represents a significant shift, aiming to leverage the team's expertise and technology in a market ripe for innovation. We’re featured in the Dutch newspaper NRC! The article is about how PSD2 didn’t come to fruition because of banks protecting their own interests and how we decided to start building from ‘within’ with our embedded banking platform: creating more competition for banks. "If PSD2 had worked well, we would never have done this," says Van Klinken. "Banks were afraid of becoming a mere utility service because of PSD2. But because they kept it so closed, we are now creating new competitors for banks." "Flow developed a middle layer with which other companies can embed financial services—for example, integrate bank accounts into accounting software. The startup uses the infrastructure of fintech-giant Adyen, which has a banking license and the infrastructure to provide IBAN accounts.
