Naming Ceremony for Unmanned Surface Vessel USV Challenger!🍾 After several years of development by joint owners Østensjø, DeepOcean, and Solstad Offshore ASA, the 24-meter-long USV Challenger has been successfully launched and named. The traditional naming ceremony, marked by the symbolic breaking of a champagne bottle for good luck, took place at GONDAN Shipbuilders - Astilleros Gondán in Spain. Designed to revolutionize subsea operations, USV Challenger is expected to cut CO2 emissions by 90% compared to conventional offshore vessels. The vessel will be remotely operated by Remota from their Remote Operations Center (ROC) at Killingøy.
