Brewing for a better today and tomorrow

Om oss

This is the official LinkedIn channel of the Carlsberg Group. The Carlsberg Group was established in 1847 by brewer J.C. Jacobsen. J.C. Jacobsen was a true renaissance man. A believer in quality, research and serving the community, he shared his knowledge with fellow brewers. He looked to the future, prizing long-term growth over short-term gain. Today, Carlsberg Group is one of the leading brewery groups in the world, with a large portfolio of beer and other beverage brands. Our beer portfolio spans core beer brands, including local power brands and international premium brands, craft & speciality brands and alcohol-free brews. Our brands are enjoyed in more than 150 markets across Western Europe, Asia and Central & Eastern Europe, and we hold a number 1 or 2 position in more than 20 markets. We strive to brew better beers, today and tomorrow. Doing business responsibly and sustainably supports that purpose – and drives the efforts to deliver value for both our shareholders and the society. Learn more on www.carlsberggroup.com We post about beer, so please only follow if you are of legal drinking age, and forward to those of legal drinking age only. #Celebrateresponsibly. Cleaning up beaches from Kazakhstan to Azerbaijan 🌊 This year has been a significant one for coastal conservation in our markets! Both Carlsberg Kazakhstan and Carlsberg Azerbaijan brought together employees and volunteers for impactful beach clean-up events. In Kazakhstan, our teams have been organizing clean-ups since 2016 under the 'Moldir Su' initiative, which means ‘clean water’ in Kazakh. This year, around 200 volunteers and employees collected an impressive 𝟭𝟲 𝘁𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝘄𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲 from coastal regions. Meanwhile, in Azerbaijan, our amazing volunteers and colleagues joined forces to clear 𝟳 𝘁𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝘄𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲 from 23 hectares along the Caspian Sea. To keep spirits high, Carlsberg Azerbaijan provided participants with Xırdalan 0.0 — the first locally produced non-alcoholic beer. Check out the gallery below for snapshots of this inspiring effort! A big thank you to everyone involved in making our coastlines cleaner and healthier! 🩴🏖️🐚🦐 #Sustainability #CleanWater #BeachCleanup #TeamWork #ZEROWaste #Carlsberg #GiveBack

Spotted: 1664 Blanc in Valencia, Spain 👏   Making an entry in the modern mediterranean city, 1664 Blanc is already showing its connection with the fashion and design world!   By being present in events such as Gala Tendencias and the upcoming Mediterranean Fashion Week as well as with store pop-ups around the city supporting local designers and their businesses, one thing is certain:    1664 Blanc has arrived to Spain in fashion ✨   This launch supports our premiumization journey as well as expansion into new territories. We are so excited to see 1664 available in Spain and looking forward to see our stunning Blue Bottle in more Spanish cities in 2025.   Well done to both teams in Carlsberg Export & License and Damm who have worked so hard to make 1664 Blanc available in yet another market.   #ExportandLicense #1664Blanc #Damm

Bringing essential school equipment to 260 students in Cambodia 🎒 This fall, our colleagues at Cambrew Ltd, our business in Cambodia, supported students at Sabat Primary School in Takeo Province by providing study materials, including books, pencils, backpacks, water bottles, computers, fans, and more. This initiative was aimed at alleviating the financial burdens faced by parents and teachers while fostering a love of learning among students. Since the early 1960s, Cambrew has been dedicated to serving local communities in Cambodia and contributing to economic growth. As a group, we are committed to "Brewing For A Better Today and Tomorrow" through responsible business practices and ESG initiatives that positively impact the lives of local residents. A heartfelt thank you to our team in Cambodia for this wonderful initiative 🙏 #GiveBack

Brewer Carl Jacobsen believed that you become a better person if you surround yourself with art. He was the son of our founder J.C. Jacobsen and was therefore born to brew – however, he had another burning passion. The arts. In 1902, he founded the New Carlsberg Foundation as an independent foundation under the Carlsberg Foundation. It should support the role of the arts in society so that all people could get access to the wonders of arts. To this day, the New Carlsberg Foundation (Ny Carlsbergfondet) supports the arts and research into the arts and is funded by dividends from shares in Carlsberg Group. Throughout his life, Carl Jacobsen was a dedicated art collector and generous patron throughout his life. In 1897 he inaugurated the Ny Carlsberg Glyptotek, where he gave the public access to his unique art collection in a beautiful setting in the middle of Copenhagen. To this day, the museum is still open to the public 👏 #GiveBack

As soon as Tuborg started flowing around the world, the brand started thinking of a way for enabling more dreamers to succeed ✨   It was 1931 when Tuborg established the Tuborg Foundation (Tuborgfondet), whose purpose today is to support youth driven initiatives that can drive positive change in society from the bottom up.   Focusing on bringing young people together, the Tuborg Foundation supports cross-sector collaborations between civil society, business and the public sector to promote development and innovation in industry.   To this day, the Tuborg Foundation still receives parts of our dividends each year. Last year in 2023, the foundation donated 129 million DKK.   It has been organised as a department under the Carlsberg Foundation since 1991. Enjoy these drawings by HuskMitNavn highlighting the target areas of the foundation 👇 #GiveBack #CarlsbergHeritage

Brewing beer with 1.5 tons of rescued strawberries that would have otherwise gone to waste 🍓 40% of all fruits and strawberries grown around the would are thrown away 😨 We can do better! A beer brewed from rescued strawberries was recently launched in Sweden — the 'fruits' of a successful collaboration between Nya Carnegiebryggeriet, our Swedish craft brewery, and the Swedish company Rscued, which has spent the past ten years collecting surplus fruits and berries, turning them into juices, lemonades — and now, beer. "Strawberries are one of the raw materials that are periodically thrown away the most. It is enough that one strawberry is bad for a whole box to be thrown away. Therefore, it feels extra great to be able to take care of strawberries together with Nya Carnegiebryggeriet and brew a fantastic beer,” says Truls Christenson, co-founder of Rscued. The beer is called Halo Sour Strawberry & Lime x Rscued. Would you try it? #Upcycling #WorldFoodDay

In 1882, J.C. Jacobsen bequeathed all his property, including his brewery, to the Carlsberg Foundation. It was the Brewer's wish that the Foundation take over the brewery upon his death. He wanted to ensure that the brewery would continue to be run in the spirit in which he had established it—anchored in science. And so it was. Following his death in 1887, the foundation took over the brewery. Since then, the Carlsberg Foundation has overseen the Carlsberg Group, ensuring that the brewery is run with the focus on innovation and high-quality products. In accordance with the Brewer’s wishes and vision, the Carlsberg Foundation (Carlsbergfondet) gives back to society from the dividends from Carlsberg Group. The foundation supports excellent basic research within the fields of natural science, social science, and the humanities. The Carlsberg Group is currently the only global brewery owned by an enterprise foundation. #GiveBack
