We are pleased to collaborate with fellow developers and British industry to urge the UK Government to deliver a fairer and faster route to Clean Power 2030. The current proposal for a zonal pricing system, under consideration in the Review of Electricity Market Arrangements (REMA) consultation, could have serious consequences for UK consumers and the energy sector. This proposed shift introduces significant uncertainty and risk to clean energy projects. Resulting in: 🛑 Undermining investor confidence: Making it harder to secure investment for future projects. 🛑 Slowing the transition to clean power: Delaying critical projects, slowing the UK’s progress toward net-zero targets and Clean Power 2030. 🛑 Burdening consumers with higher bills: Resulting in regional disparities, where energy generation is less concentrated, residents may face significantly higher bills. 📣 Speak up, stand up for a Fairer Energy Future. 📣 https://lnkd.in/ehU_9cvJ

Clean Power 2030 will be one of the main drivers in all that we do, and it will take a huge, concerted effort across the industry to realise this ambition. “Thank you to everyone who selected me in the election process. I will continue to try my best, bring pragmatism to the board and ensure that decisions reflect the long-term interests of the sector.” #Scotland #Renewableenergy
