🚢 Årets viktigste båttur for maritim næring i Nordvest 🌊 Sammen med MARITIMT FORUM NORDVEST trosset vi været og samlet politikere, næringsliv og bransjeeksperter til årets Ocean Summit, hvor viktige diskusjoner om framtiden for den maritime næringen sto på agendaen – med fokus på VALG 2025 og de politiske rammevilkårene som kreves for å styrke regionens maritime klynge. Ombord på MS Bruvik seilte vi fra et vindfullt Ålesund til Rekkedal på Sæbø, som var destinasjonen for dagen. 🔹 Sterke samtaler og viktige spørsmål ble løftet: ✔️ Hvordan sikrer vi konkurransedyktige rammebetingelser for norske rederier? ✔️ Hva skal til for å styrke norsk maritim industri i en urolig geopolitisk situasjon? ✔️ Hvordan tilrettelegger vi for rekruttering og kompetanseutvikling i næringen? ✔️ Hvilken rolle spiller maritim sektor i Norges totalforsvar? 💬 Panelsamtaler, faglige innlegg og engasjerte politikere ga oss verdifulle perspektiver. Statssekretær Even Tronstad Sagebakken understreket behovet for at politikk, næringsliv og teknologi må spille på lag, og at Norge må bruke sin maritime kompetanse som et fortrinn i utviklingen av grønn skipsfart. 💡 Forutsigbarhet, samarbeid og fremtidsrettede løsninger er nøkkelen. For the third year, Ship Technology Days in Ulsteinvik was a great success! 🚢 This conference delves deeper into digitalization and autonomy from various perspectives, highlighting what is happening and the opportunities ahead. The first day of this year’s Ship Technology Days has come to an end – and what a day it has been! We had the pleasure of visiting Green Yard Kleven and Kongsberg Maritime , where we gained valuable insights and experienced firsthand the impressive expertise and innovation these two cornerstone companies in our maritime cluster represent. A special thank you to Øyvind Gjerde Kamsvåg from ULSTEIN, who gave an engaging presentation on the history of the X-Bow and X-Stern, highlighting the holistic perspective that defines this groundbreaking ship design, at our Blue Maritime Hangout at Skaparhuset. Our EU Project, #EverLoNG, is nearing completion, with the main results to be presented in a webinar on March 13th. The EverLoNG project aims to encourage the uptake of Onboard Carbon Capture (OCC) by demonstrating its use on board LNG-fuelled ships and moving it closer to market readiness. The project, led by the Dutch research organization TNO, has included various activities, such as testing and validating new carbon-capturing technologies on Heerema’s Heavy Lift vessel, Sleipnir, and one of Total Energies’ LNG carriers.    The webinar will feature presentations from project partners discussing final project results and outcomes from the different work packages.
