New Win lights the way to renewable energy We’ve won the contract to light the Wind Apex, a giant hybrid Wind Turbine Installation Vessel (WTIV). It will be used to construct next-generation offshore wind farms and can install both XL turbine foundations and turbines. The vessel is scheduled to be delivered in the first half of 2027 and is the fifth in a series of NG 20000 WTIVs we’ve lit for Cadeler A/S of Denmark. We’re providing 2,342 marine LED lights for the exterior and interior of the vessel, which our customer, COSCO Shipping (Qidong) Offshore Co., Ltd, is building at its shipyard in China. “Glamox is lighting the offshore energy transition from oil and gas to offshore wind. Our customers demand lighting that a vessel’s crew can depend on. The luminaire, powered by its internal emergency battery pack, hit the water at over 250 km/h and continued to shine brightly upon retrieval. Q4 2024 Earnings: Glamox shines brightly Today, our holding company, GLX Holding AS, announced Glamox’s fourth-quarter earnings in which we saw solid revenue growth and strong growth in adjusted EBITA. Total revenue and other operating income increased 4.3% at NOK 1,167 million (1,1190), with adjusted EBITA up 54.1% at NOK 174 million (113), rounding round off a year of continued progress. Astrid Simonsen Joos, Group CEO of Glamox, says, “Our fourth quarter rounded off a really good year in which Glamox shone brightly. “Our revenue in the quarter was driven by increased activity across several vessel segments and verticals in our Marine, Offshore and Wind (MOW) division. The underlying industry growth in MOW remains promising, and activity levels in all its main verticals were solid. Meanwhile, our Professional Building Solutions (PBS) division experienced sustained demand for our energy-efficient lighting for renovation and retrofit projects, and we increased sales of our connected lighting. “This performance resulted from excellent teamwork, and I wish to thank all our employees for their hard work.” For the full year, total revenue and operating income grew 5.2% to NOK 4,487 million (4,266), our order intake was up 3.7% at NOK 4,476 million (4,315), and adjusted EBITA was up 36.6% at NOK 670 million (490).
