🎙️ Is Norwegian oil really a climate-friendly solution? Today Petropraten, organized by Norsk klimastiftelse, took place at Mesh Nationaltheatret, where Terje Halleland (FrP) and Lars Haltbrekken(SV) discussed the controversial role of Norwegian oil and gas in the climate crisis. Halleland pointed out that production in Norway has low emissions, while Haltbrekken insisted: fossil energy is the main cause of the climate crisis we face. → What do you think? Can the efficiency of oil production be beneficial for the climate, or is there an urgent need for a shift to renewable sources? We invite you to join this discussion at the next Petropraten, which will also take place at Mesh Nationaltheatret on November 14. This time, we will ask whether the war in Europe justifies the search for more oil and gas in Northern Norway. https://lnkd.in/dMU6btJa

What’s happening Oslo? Come find out, 8am tomorrow, at Mesh Oslo Youngstorget. As part of my being part of the change I want to see and leaning into being the sun! 🌞 I am creating a show for Oslo, for all those working, living and loving here. Every month, I will dive into what’s happening in town, what cool new restaurants have opened to check out, and what events shouldn’t be missed. This show is the antidote to the shifting seasons, as things get colder and darker, this show gets warmer and brighter! Be prepared to laugh, learn, and love this city regardless of the seasons. I will interview interesting people of Oslo (this weeks guest Isaac Gray) and give you that big city talk show vibe, in a cosy and chilled setting. Come join, 8am, Mesh Youngs.

On Friday, NAST hosted an engaging event at Mesh Youngstorget called “Politisk Påvirkning 101.” → The event aimed to educate and inspire entrepreneurs about political influence and how they can become effective advocates for their causes. Despite NAST not being heard regarding the exit tax issue and the government’s lack of awareness about the importance of investing in technology and startups, the organizers were determined not to be discouraged. Rather than calling for a crisis meeting, they focused on mobilizing as many individuals as possible to become effective political influencers. → After the main session, an afterwork gathering allowed attendees to network, exchange ideas, and discuss the insights shared during the talk. This provided a valuable opportunity for participants to connect and deepen their understanding of the subject. NAST is steadily making progress in positioning entrepreneurship and modern business as central themes in the upcoming election campaign. However, they emphasized the need to accelerate efforts and engage those who are still undecided. → Despite the challenges, the speakers expressed optimism that 2025 will be a turning point for Norway’s economic policy. They also announced the launch of a platform in two weeks that will allow people to get involved and contribute. For those who missed the event, the full session is available on YouTube.
