Yesterday, the NoA house in Oslo was packed for this month’s #NoABrainFood event. The theme was succeeding beyond Norway’s borders, and an outstanding panel shared their insights on both successes and the challenges, including the “belly flops,” they encountered along the way. Key takeaways: – Think ridiculously big. Be shameless, and dare to speak loudly about what you want to achieve, both internally and externally. – Define and nurture a clear purpose and a distinct brand. Let it influence everything you do, and be consistent over time. – Find and invest in the right people who believe in what the company is doing and wants to achieve. Bad hires are more expensive than you think. – Create a clear strategy that provides direction and focus for everyone, but be open to deviating when unique opportunities arise. – Measure everything, everywhere. Data provides insights and enables continuous improvement across the organization. – Understand cultural differences, build local networks, and make sure to have “local people on the ground” in key markets. – Invest in scalable technology. Fast growth requires a solid foundation. – Take responsibility. Make sustainability an integrated part of the core business. – Learn from your mistakes and keep going. Everyone who succeeds has experienced many failures along the way, but they don’t give up. A huge thank you to Pål Ødegaard (Dibber), Gineline Kalleberg (KAOS), Bjørn Fjellstad (Vestre), and Morten Isachsen (Tom Wood) for sharing their insights. We highly recommend following the journeys of these incredible companies. And of course, a special thanks to Christian Søgaard for guiding us through the morning. Next time, we’ll dive into how to use strategic creativity in sponsorships. Stay tuned for the invitation!

It’s time for a new #NoABrainFood in Oslo, and this time we’ll be discussing how to grow beyond your own borders. We’ll explore what it takes to succeed outside of Norway and how to possibly avoid a major flop. Be inspired by the experiences of Pål Ødegaard (CGO, Dibber), Gineline Kalleberg (CMO, KAOS), Bjørn Fjellstad (CEO, Vestre), and Morten Isachsen (CEO, Tom Wood), each successful in achieving international growth. The panel discussion will be led by our own Christian Søgaard (CEO, NoA Consulting). There are only a few spots left, so hurry and sign up via the link in the comments. See you there!

How do you best unify brand and performance? At the latest #NoABrainfood event in NoA House Copenhagen, &Co. / NoA and NoA Elevate made a pretty compelling case for how to tackle the conundrum of creating faster, cheaper, and better content by combining top creativity with punchy performance. If you couldn't make it, here are the key takeaways: – A strong idea is agnostic. It translates across formats, channel , funnel, and time. – Impact and consistency can, in fact, co-exist. It’s a symbiosis, not a linear process. – Think “LEGO” and automize for scale. Modular design allows for better, cheaper, faster. A big thank you to &Co.’s Ørnulf Johnsen and Robert Cerkez as well as NoA Elevate’s Henrik Berglind and Mats Bax for one tasty serve of brainfood. If you want to know how this can be applied to your own business, you’re more than welcome to reach out directly to Ørnulf (ornulf@andco.dk) or Henrik (henrik.berglind@noaelevate.com). P.S. If Oslo is closer to home, don’t miss out on our next #NoABrainfood event on Sep 10th: "Hvordan vokse utenfor Norge?" Secure your seat using the link in the comments.

Welcome to NoA, Gøril Rønning - our very first group CEO of NoA Ignite. Igniting the momentum of the collective power of the +400 NoA Igniters across Denmark, Norway, Sweden, and Poland, this is a very exciting piece of news. In the words of Group CEO of NoA, Mikael Jørgensen: “The purpose of hiring a capacity like Rønning, is to further strengthen the many shared capabilities within NoA Ignite, and thereby being able to push even harder on the accelerator moving forward.” Read more about Gøril in Scandinavian media: Kampanje (in Norwegian): https://lnkd.in/dcgp-6Bc Dansk Markedsføring (in Danish): https://lnkd.in/dU9zxQgn Resumé (in Swedish): https://lnkd.in/dsxYSarf #tech #innovation #IgnitingGrowth

Recently, we celebrated the first edition of One Big NoA Day in Oslo, and it exceeded all expectations! It was a day entirely dedicated to showcasing and discussing what truly interests us — whether it’s professional skills, a hobby, a passion project, or a mix of all three. Together with our clients, we enjoyed workshops, talks, performances, food, drinks, and everything else the NoA House has to offer. The day was a perfect blend of learning, sharing, and fun. To top it all off, we ended the day together at Øyafestivalen. Key learning: When you give NoA folks the freedom to talk about what they’re truly passionate about, the results are nothing short of amazing. See you next year! #OneBigNoADay

Mind if we steal 1 minute and 51 seconds of your time? It's asking a lot on LinkedIn, we know, but it's well worth it, as the generous splashes of color in the visual identity of this year's Eurovision Song Contest are simply a pure joy to watch. The team at Bold Scandinavia / NoA rocketed the iconic music event to the sky, drawing inspiration from the illuminating northern lights in their design. The rich array of the brand design was broadcast on TV, print, digital platforms – and even on bridges. Check out the full case film behind this impressive work below. The work was a partnership between Bold Scandinavia, Uncut, and SVT. #Eurovision #unitedbymusic #Eurovision2024

Øyafestivalen, one of Norway’s largest music festivals known for both its internationally acclaimed lineup and commitment to sustainability, has launched a brand-new visual identity and website, developed and designed by yours truly. This comprehensive project involved four NoA agencies/companies: NoA Ignite, Unfold / NoA, NoA Consulting, and Anorak / NoA . Hans Christian Øren, Creative Director and designer at NoA Ignite, explains: “We aim to showcase Øyafestivalen’s commitment to sustainability and artistic freedom. This new identity is not just a design but a statement of our values. It reflects the festival’s mission to blend music, art, and environmental responsibility seamlessly.” The new visual identity features organic elements crafted by illustrator Sveinung Sudbø (Originalkopi), complemented by animated posters from Babusjka AS. The website, built using Sanity CMS, Next.js, and Tailwind, emphasizes sustainable coding and hosting. Birgitte Mandelid, Program and Marketing Manager at Øyafestivalen, shares her thoughts on the project: “It’s incredibly rewarding to collaborate with a team that understands us as well as NoA does. Hans Christian has created a striking and playful profile that truly represents our values. Developing the website with Ignite and Unfold has been a joy. Innovation and user-friendliness can coexist, and we hope to demonstrate that with exciting new features in the future.” For more details, visit Kreativt Forum or the Øyafestivalen web. We are thrilled to announce that one of Scienta’s clients, Skatteetaten, has won the prestigious Digitaliseringsprisen 2024 for Skattemeldingen! It was awarded for their efforts in simplifying the Norwegian tax return process for businesses, potentially saving society up to 800 million NOK annually. This award, given by Digitaliseringsdirektoratet (Digdir), is highly esteemed in the industry and is based on nominations rather than paid participation. Out of 23 nominees this year, Skatteetaten's innovative project stood out. Scienta AS, a part of NoA, was involved in this project from start to finish. Their contributions spanned team leadership, front-end and back-end development, and product ownership. Additionally, both Agitec AS and Scienta provided developers and functional experts across several systems used by Skattemeldingen. Kudos to everyone involved — a remarkable achievement!
