With a career spanning international and ESG consulting, executive education, and work with public and civil society organizations, Katri has a lot of experience leading sustainable development initiatives and collaborating with diverse stakeholders. -  I'm inspired to work in a field that drives societies toward sustainability and inclusivity. It’s rewarding to be part of NRC Group ASA, where we’re making a positive impact and creating a lasting difference in Nordic communities, she says. Holding both a Master of Science from the University of Helsinki and an MBA from Aalto University Executive Education, Katri brings both academic and hands-on experience in creating positive change. 🌟 Celebrating Emerging Leaders at NRC Group ASA! 🌟 After nine months of hard work and dedication, this happy group of talented emerging leaders has nearly completed The Navigator Program—our internal leadership development initiative. Designed to empower ambitious leaders across NRC Group, the program blends in-person meetings, teamwork, and coaching to inspire growth, challenge perspectives, and forge lasting connections. Yesterday, our CEO Anders Gustafsson proudly handed out certificates to the participants, marking their journey toward becoming impactful leaders. - Now they are ready to navigate on their own, says Gustafsson, who is also very impressed by the ones responsible for putting the program together, Vilde Haugnæss, Head of People Development & Talent Acquisition and Marianne Ulland Kellmer,  EVP & Head of People, Culture and Digitalisation in NRC Group. 🚋 Great news! 😊 NRC Group Finland has won the contract to construct the Pirkkala–Linnainmaa tramway as part of an alliance! On October 21st, 2024, both the Tampereen kaupunki - City of Tampere and Pirkkala Municipal Council approved the project, which will be built in phases. In the first phase, the Pirkkala–Linnainmaa tramway will be constructed from Partola in Pirkkala to the Niihama stop in Tampere. In the second phase, the construction will continue from Partola to Suuppa and from the Niihama stop to Linnainmaa. The implementation of the second phase depends on securing state support. Tampereen Raitiotie Oy/ Tampere Tramway Ltd. will oversee the project. Construction is set to begin in early December on the sections between Sorin Square–Partola and Kauppi campus–Niihama, bringing us one step closer to a more connected, sustainable future for the region. #NRCGroupFinland #TampereTramway #PirkkalaLinnainmaa #SustainableTransport #InfrastructureInnovation #Teamwork

🌿 Improving Access to Greener Fuel for Sustainable Transport 🚛 Gunnar Knutsen AS, a subsidiary of NRC Group ASA, is proud be at the forefront of sustainable transport through their commitment to biogas. In collaboration with Gasum and Eiendomsspar, they have worked together to open Norway’s largest biogas station at Skui. With the opening of this station, now available to all users, they can make their transport operations even more environmentally friendly. 🌍   The company has been testing the station since August, and with a fleet of 57 biogas trucks, this marks a significant improvement in the availability of greener fuel. The station will play a key role in reducing their greenhouse gas emissions, making it easier to transport construction materials in the Oslo region, and contributing to better local air quality.   - A biogas station at Skui will solve many capacity challenges and make the transition to greener transport easier in the Oslo region. It also helps that the station is located right next to our base in Bærum, says Frank Vestveit, Managing Director of Gunnar Knutsen AS. Integrating Renewable Diesel for a Greener Future 🌍 At NRC Group ASA, we are committed to being "The most ambitious infrastructure builder in the Nordics," and a significant part of this ambition is our dedication to sustainability and reducing our carbon footprint. Earlier this year, we began our transition to renewable diesel for all company vehicles in Finland!🚗💨🌱 Currently, around 30% of our fleet is running on renewable diesel, and we are actively working toward achieving 100% in the near future. 💡 Key details: ✔️ We began the transition to renewable diesel this year. ✔️ 30% of our company vehicles in Finland now use renewable diesel. ✔️ Our goal is to reach 100% renewable diesel usage. ✔️ We monitor and communicate usage rates monthly, ensuring steady progress toward this target. Won project! 🎉 NRC Group Norge has been awarded a contract by Gjermundshaug Anlegg for the rehabilitation and upgrade of Stange railway station. 🚉 The project will include rail services such as electrical systems, signaling/telecom, and trackwork. The work is set to begin in September 2024, with completion planned for autumn 2027. 🔨🐟Building with Care for Nature 🌱 In connection with the reconstruction of the dam Fri-Elvåga in Østmarka, NRC Group Norge has built a crayfish hotel on behalf of the Oslo kommune. This is intended to ensure that both fish and crayfish have a safe and stable habitat in the dam, even after the new concrete dam is in place. This way, crayfish and fish can follow the water level without the risk of becoming stranded during the construction process. This project is entirely emission-free, with all excavation work carried out using an all-electric excavator – right in the heart of Østmarka! – The hotels are an additional support for the crayfish, says project manager Jesper Simonsson. – We've seen crayfish in the dam, and it's great to see that the initiative is working.
