Argeo provides subsea services to companies and projects within the oil and gas, marine minerals, and renewable energy sectors. The company offers robust vessels, autonomous underwater vehicles (AUVs), sensors, and digital imaging technology that collect complex data and transform it into decision-ready information. 🔔 The company’s market capitalisation on their first day of trading on Euronext Oslo Børs was approximately NOK 457 million. Den første Exchange Traded Commodity (ETC) notert i Oslo! I dag var det Svelland Capital og Edmond de Rothschild (EdR) som ringte i børsbjellen for å markere noteringen av deres gull ETC. Gratulerer! En ETC er et børsnotert verdipapir knyttet til en råvare, til forskjell fra Exchange Traded Funds (ETF) som er børsnoterte fondseiendeler der underliggende gjerne er et indeksfond. Med gull ETCen kan vi tilby investorer et nytt instrument notert i norske kroner. - Vi er veldig glad for at vi nå har denne gull ETCen notert hos oss. I forbindelse med noteringen av dette nye produktet har vi oppdatert regelverket slik at det er tilpasset ETCer, og vi har gått opp alle stegene i handelen med de involverte aktørene som tar seg av oppgjør og clearing. Welcome to Euronext Oslo Børs, Lifecare! Today we celebrated the transfer of Lifecare (ticker: LIFE) from Euronext Growth Oslo to Euronext Oslo Børs. Lifecare is a Norwegian medtech company that develops miniaturised and implantable long-term medical sensors for continuous monitoring of glucose and other biomarkers. The company has a particular focus on diabetes, helping the more than 500 million people living with the disease today. 🔔 The company’s market capitalisation on their first day of trading on Euronext Oslo Børs was approximately NOK 317 million. With the successful Euronext Derivatives migration to Euronext Clearing behind us, we are pleased to expand the reach of our products, offering clients greater choice in Norwegian Equity and Index Derivatives.   To mark this achievement, we hosted a seminar at the historic Oslo Børs building, bringing together key players from both the buy-side and sell-side. We were fortunate to have leading industry experts share valuable insights:   ◾ Kristoffer Solem, CFA, FRM from KLP discussed the use of index futures in fund management, highlighting their role in improving efficiency.   ◾ Jan Petter Sissener provided a detailed look at how Sissener Canopus utilises index and single stock options to manage portfolio risk.   ◾ Paul Harper from DNB presented interesting perspectives on current volatility in a historical context and how structural market changes increase potential volatility.   ◾ Traders Arne Sæle from DNB, Niclas Egmar from SEB, and Benjamin Hammargren from Danske Bank spoke on a panel moderated by Anders Holen from Euronext Oslo Børs, delving into key topics such as market maker strategies, on- and off-screen liquidity, and trends in the derivatives market. ◾ James McNulty from Euronext Clearing also outlined the benefits of the clearing migration for the Norwegian market.   A special thanks to everyone who attended and contributed to the event. Today, we participated in Position Green’s launch of the ESG100 report, which explores how the largest companies in Europe and Scandinavia are adapting to the upcoming reporting requirements under ESRS. These requirements will be phased in from 2025 to 2028.   The increased demands for sustainability reporting necessitate the collection and management of vast amounts of data. It was therefore invaluable to hear from CFOs and sustainability leaders from several major companies on how they are navigating this complex challenge.   Camille Leca, Group Head of ESG and Sustainable Finance at Euronext, took part in a panel discussion alongside KONGSBERG Gruppen and Boozt, addressing the practical challenges and opportunities of #ESRS reporting. She encouraged a pragmatic approach and emphasised that the data collected can be used strategically to drive business development. The panel also highlighted the importance of shifting focus from reporting itself to how companies can implement changes that help achieve their sustainability goals. Our recently published ESG Trends Report for 2024 shows that companies listed on Euronext have reduced their greenhouse gas emissions by 14%, without negatively impacting revenue – a critical factor for long-term sustainability and efficiency.   Many thanks to Position Green for an insightful report and for the opportunity to participate in the launch!
