Did you know that DGNB certification system is a global benchmark for sustainability? 🌍 It ensures that buildings aren't just energy-efficient, but also positively impact the environment, society, and the economy. In countries like Denmark, DGNB has been adapted to local standards and is now a trusted quality stamp for sustainable construction. 🏢🌱 So, how is the ProbonoH2020 project using DGNB? 🤔 DGNB certification is at the heart of creating Green Building Neighbourhoods (GBN) within the project. PROBONO is developing data-driven tools to measure and improve multiple sustainability KPIs, directly supporting key EU directives like the Energy Performance of Buildings Directive (EPBD) and the Energy Efficiency Directive (EED). 💻📊 What’s happening at Aarhus University’s Living Lab? 🏫 The Living Lab is on track to achieve DGNB Gold certification for 20 buildings! This is part of PROBONO’s broader vision of creating climate-neutral, energy-efficient cities. These workshops brought together experts and visionaries to develop key use cases driving sustainable transformations in Green Building Neighbourhoods. 🏙️💚 🎯 Our sessions focused on exploring digital solutions and refining strategies to advance energy efficiency, leverage #DigitalTwins for smarter building operations, and pioneer sustainable business models. By optimizing the use of generated energy, these systems not only boost efficiency but also reduce the carbon footprint of these communities.   At ProbonoH2020, we take it a step further by incorporating second-life batteries. ♻️ By repurposing high-quality automotive batteries for stationary storage, we give these batteries a second life with the highest safety and quality standards, embracing a circular economy approach.
