Chorus is proud to be a premium partner of the Downstream 2025, the energy sector conference. Today it was great to see Rob Zagarella, Founder & CEO of NNNCo, back in New Zealand to present at the Downstream 2025 conference. Rob shared his global expertise and forward-thinking approach in how IoT is shaping the future of energy network management: Visibility of ageing infrastructure: * IoT solutions help identify potential vulnerabilities and inefficiencies, enabling proactive maintenance and upgrades. *Dynamic energy flow management: Real-time monitoring and control of flow, adapting to both supply and load changes. *Improved decision making: Near real-time data accelerates decision-making processes, allowing network operators to respond faster to emerging issues. *Enhanced reliability measures: IoT helps improve metrics like SAIDI and CAIDI, by quickly identifying and addressing issues, leading to better service quality. Rob's insights are a testament to how the convergence of massive IoT and existing SCADA monitoring can empower utilities to tackle some of the most pressing challenges in modern power management. #Downstream2025 #SmartPowerManagement #IoT #EnergyInnovation #Sustainability #RobZagarella #NNNCo #FutureOfEnergy #SmartGrids #TechInnovation #PowerManagement #Neura

Last night in Queenstown, we had an incredible time connecting with developers and industry leaders at our New Property Development Showcase. For those who couldn’t make it, here are some highlights from the event: - For many developers, fibre is the gold standard. It’s a congestion-free, open-access network built for speed, reliability, and future demand. - Our developers got a sneak peek at some of our upcoming improvements to the portal to track orders, manage timelines, and streamline projects from design to clearance. - IoT is shaping the future and Chorus solutions like Smart Locations and Neura offer flexible and scalable connectivity, allowing real-time access to data and insights for more efficient and sustainable developments. At Chorus, we’re committed to making connectivity simple, certain, and straightforward for developments across New Zealand.

To celebrate International Women’s Day, we at Chorus would like to thank our incredible women for their mahi, talent, and expertise across all areas of our business. We are committed to turning intention into measurable change. Over the past year: - We ranked in the top 5% of the technology industry for diversity and inclusiveness in our engagement survey. - We achieved a 40:40:20 gender ratio at our Executive, Board, and overall employee levels. - We were re-accredited in the Advanced category of the Gender Tick. - We implemented a Gender Equity Plan focused on reducing our gender pay gap, which is no more than -2% at any career level. These milestones matter, but we know there’s still more to do. Our dedicated Gender Equity Plan is a bold step toward embedding equity into every part of how Chorus operates, from hiring and leadership development to wellbeing, pay equity, and beyond. As a key part of our Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DE&I) objectives, these initiatives are built into our systems and infrastructure, helping us create a fair and equitable workplace where everyone thrives. #IWD2025

Developers - are you setting your projects up for success or complaints? Bad broadband decisions can lead to frustrated residents, endless tenancy complaints, and a bad name for developers. That’s why Ben de Wys from Ben Knows champions fibre as the best connectivity solution - offering future-proofed speed, reliability, and an open network that lets residents choose their own provider. With 77% of households expecting fibre in new builds, it’s not just an option - it’s a necessity. And with Chorus fibre, developers get the tools and support to manage it all seamlessly. #SmartDevelopmentsRunOnFibre #PropertyDevelopment #BroadbandMatters #FibreConnectivity #OpenNetwork

Chorus and Datagrid have joined forces to explore a 6,000 km trans-Tasman subsea cable that would improve New Zealand’s connections with the world 🌏 We've entered into an exclusive Memorandum of Understanding to develop the Tasman Ring Network that would connect Auckland, New Plymouth, Greymouth, Invercargill, Sydney and Melbourne through high-capacity international transport links. If sufficient demand is established, the Tasman Ring Network would be ready for service in late 2027. “This is a really exciting opportunity. Chorus and Datagrid see a need for integrated international and domestic connectivity solutions into the future. The Tasman Ring would hugely improve data centre connectivity in New Zealand and across the Tasman,” says Chorus’ Executive General Manager of Infrastructure, Mike Shirley.
