🚙⚡️🚚 Very insightful presentation this morning by Kirsten Corson, Chair, Drive Electric New Zealand @ the NZ #Electro #mobility 2024 summit, sharing some international EV trends and successful policies ! Kirsten presentation theme was “wired for change: a global overview of #electric #vehicle trends” , and she shared: ▫️Why EVs are important❓noting the $8/9B spent on importing #FossilFuel yearly ▫️Why you are important❓with 60 to 70% of new cars that are actually bought by businesses ▫️EV sales globally by regions in last 3 years, in China🇨🇳, Europe🇪🇺, USA🇺🇸 and the rest of the world. ▫️ 3 international case studies of EV and EV chargers development in: #France 🇫🇷, noting different subsidies and policies, as well as the €450M co-invested by NZ investment infrastructure business MORRISON into 8,000 chargers. #China 🇨🇳 with 3+ millions (!?!) new EV chargers put into service in 2023, split between 2,45M private and and 0,93M public, and 9,5M EV cars manufactured, with 8.3M sold domestically and 1.2M exported. #Norway 🇳🇴, who started early (1990) and put in place EV subsidies and incentives, combined with ICE (Internal Combustion Engine) high taxes. ▫️What can you do❓ 🟢 Schneider Electric ⚡️ #NewZealand #EV #mobility #Transport
