🙌 It's been a good week here at +IMPAC! On Wednesday we welcomed our first group of clients in our new office space for our PREQUAL day! It was great to hear from so many of our H+S experts talking about the latest in Prequalification Management and also PPE Standards. Thank you Tom, Tod, Alwyn, Cameron & Nick from Safeworx for sharing your expertise 🙏 And yesterday we took our simulators to the STEM and Transport Expo at MOTAT. Fantastic to see so many rangitahi have a go at driving heavy machinery in a safe and encouraging way!

Recently we were privileged to undertake a VR based Truck Driver Competency Assessment for a group of truck drivers from Downer Transport & Infrastructure's Auckland Branch. During the session we had the pleasure of reconnecting with one of Downer’s employees, Thomas Gilmore. We first met Thomas during one of our Ministry of Social Development (MSD) sponsored “Whiti” courses - which are designed to support people in their journey towards full-time employment. We use VR simulators as part of the course delivery to smash through confidence barriers and grow cognitive and muscle memory development. Thomas emerged with greater confidence in himself and a formal Wheels Tracks and Rollers endorsement 👌 We were thrilled to witness that his newly acquired confidence, skills and tenacity have resulted in securing work with a leading safety focussed company like Downer in one of their vital front-line chipsealing crews 👊 Big shoutout to Thomas for his drive and focus and also Andrew Wallace and the Downer team for creating these opportunities and investing in your employees with +IMPAC's innovative simulation technology.
