We were delighted to donate some Esk Valley “Heipipi The Terraces” magnums to The Hawke's Bay Wine Auction Bay on 14 September. Held at the Toitoi - Hawke's Bay Arts & Events Centre in Hastings, the annual event has been running for 32 years, with all proceeds donated to the Cranford Hospice. We were chuffed that our magnums fetched a whopping $4,000 and the overall total amount raised was an incredible $335,697! Well done to everyone involved in raising money for such a worthy cause. 📷 Hawke's Bay Wine Auction

We’re excited to be involved in developing the Next Generation Viticulture programme with Bragato Research Institute, helping shape the future of viticulture in Aotearoa. We’re proud to have Patrick Materman and Rhys Hall from the Indevin team helping to shape this project through their roles on the programme’s Commercial and Technical Advisory Groups. #indevingroup #bragatoresearchinstitute #BRI
We are delighted to announce a new viticulture research programme to boost New Zealand vineyard productivity. Vineyard profitability is key to ensuring a thriving New Zealand wine industry. As costs continue to rise, we must adapt and innovate to remain profitable. A new research programme led by Bragato Research Institute has been designed to address these challenges. The programme, called Next Generation Viticulture, will research growing vines to be more efficient at turning sunlight into grapes, reducing growers’ input cost per unit of output. “The programme’s vision is to increase the profitability of the New Zealand wine industry by improving vineyard productivity, reducing variability in yields, while delivering exceptional quality New Zealand wines the world demands,” says New Zealand Winegrowers Chair Clive Jones. The announcement was made following the signing of a new partnership between the Ministry for Primary Industries, New Zealand Winegrowers, and seven wine business co-investors contributing cash and in-kind. BRI is contracted to manage and deliver the programme. Read more about the programme here: https://lnkd.in/gNxNDnEk #nzwine

This week we've been celebrating Mental Health Awareness Week 2024. Founded in 1993, MHAW is run annually by Mental Health Foundation of New Zealand to raise awareness about mental health and wellbeing. This year's theme is "Community is what we create together." From walks, to Sip 'n Paint, coffee carts and more, our teams got into the spirit around the motu to celebrate this important initiative! Ngā mihi nui to everyone who helped strengthen our Indevin community this week. We think you're all pretty rad. 😎 #indevingroup #villamariawines #mhaw2024 #mentalhealthfoundationnz

Kia ora koutou. This week we’re proudly celebrating Te Wiki o te Reo Māori 2024. Our kapa (teams) have come together across the motu to celebrate. We’ve shared kai (hāngī’s, boil-ups & kumura fritters) as well as moments ofmanaakitanga, Pepeha’s and Karakia’s. Nga mihi mui to Clare Jennings for opening our Tāmaki Makaurau paramanawa (morning tea) with a Karakia. Clare also brought in her whānau Korowai (cloak) to share with our team and kindly allowed the team to wear it with pride. While many of us are at the beginning of our te reo journey, it’s been inspiring to see our Indevin whānau giving te reo Māori a go. Ngā mihi nui to everyone who got involved – especially those who created videos and resources for our teams. Ka pai! Kia kaha, te Reo Māori! #indevingroup #villamariawines #tewikiotereomaori2024

Recently, the Indevin Gisborne Winery team went out to Gisborne Riding for the Disabled - RDA and rolled up their sleeves to spend a couple hours mucking in at the stables. The team helped with maintenance, tidied sheds, touched up the arena and overall upkeep of the paddocks. 🐎 The core purpose of New Zealand Riding for the Disabled is to provide interaction with horses to improve health and wellbeing outcomes for people experiencing disability, or who have specific challenges or needs. It was such a heart-warming experience to help those who give so much to the community. Thank you to Gisborne RDA for having us and thank you to the team for their incredible mahi! 💪 NZRDA Admin #indevingroup #gisborneRDA
