Fairtrade isn't just a label - it's a commitment. For over 10 years, we've partnered with the Fairtrade movement to ensure our farmers receive a fair wage for the organic, raw, unbleached cane sugar in every bottle. While some big name cola brands exploit vulnerable workers, we're proud to offer drinks that are as good for people as they are for the planet. Sounds pretty f*cking fair to us. Protecting people and planet is at our core, so to say we're stoked about our latest collab with Choose Love and EVERPRESS is an understatement. Put simply, together we believe that doing good creates good ❤️ 100% of creator profits from each tee sold goes to Choose Love to bolster the amazing work they do in supporting refugees and displaced people worldwide. We're (clearly) buzzing for #internationalwomensday tomorrow. Not just because we're donating 100% of our UK profits to The Karma Foundation, which will bolster the support we give to kick-ass women in Sierra Leone, but because we're so excited to be a part of the conversation around accelerating women's progress, now and always. It only feels fitting to introduce you to our friend Chief Kadi, she's the 'CEO' of Boma village, who we have worked closely with for more than a decade via The Karma Foundation. Our ethos is, and always will be, one of mutual respect. We have regular meetings with Chief Kadi, amongst other village leaders and the communities who grow our cola nuts, to listen to their needs and suggestions. The projects we invest in are always those which are voted as the most valuable for sustainable growth, never dictated by us. In case you missed it, to date The Karma Foundation has: ✏ Provided bursaries for 150 girls to go to school per year, educating 910 children over the last 10 years 🎓 Funded five girls to pursue higher education in Universities in Freetown, the capital city of Sierra Leone 🚀 Supported 60 female entrepreneurs to set up their own businesses, via micro loans and training in literacy and governance 📚 Hired two female teachers in four schools built and maintained by Karma Foundation 💊 Provided life-changing health funds for 14 women in 2023 So a final call, because we need your help. Tomorrow, on #internationalwomensday get yourself to karmadrinks.co.uk or your fave Karma stockist and treat yourself to some good Karma. We need to sell as many drinks as we can, because the more drinks we sell, the more good we do 👊 Call it Karma. Looking for inspo on where you can grab yours tomorrow? Try... Excuse me for interrupting your doom scrolling, but as today is #DayOfTheGirl I thought I'd share some good news and stuff we're actually proud of. The Karma Foundation has been working with our cola nut growers in the rainforest of Sierra Leone for 10 years, and alongside a huge variety of projects reflective of the United Nations's #SDG's, a lot of focus is on supporting women and girls. All the way from primary school, to uni, to CEO's ⚡️ So far, with 1% of every single Karma Drinks sold, we have... Provided bursaries for 135 girls to attend school every year Educated a total of 764 children Supported a female Chief, who looks after the communities with one of the most successful CEO mindsets we've ever come across Funded 4 girls to pursue higher education Supported 8 new female entrepreneurs Empowered 52 existing female entrepreneurs Hired 2 female teachers, in 4 schools that we built with the communities Provided life-changing health funds for 14 women Over the next few months we're also building x3 new classrooms, so the schoolgirls don't have to walk x12km every day to access their education. They say when you educate a woman, you educate a nation. I'll drink to that.
