How private are your foreign income and assets? Recent requests received by Martelli McKegg for assistance demonstrate that Inland Revenue unilaterally shares (and receives) extensive taxpayer information with foreign tax authorities. Once non-compliance is identified, the consequences can be frightening. Read more from our Trust and Estate Practitioner, Lee Harris TEP about a recent example she has encountered. There is also an update on Inland Revenue’s response to public and foreign criticism following publication of hundreds of thousands of taxpayer details on social media platforms. https://lnkd.in/g5jTaGWa #trustlaw #martellimckegg

Today, Martelli McKegg had the honour of hosting Filipo Levi at our office for an inspiring talk on high performance and leadership, and the importance of culture. Filipo is a dynamic leader, strategist, and community champion, having collaborated with major organizations such as BNZ, Fisher & Paykel, and IAG. As a former rugby player with experience at all levels of international rugby, Filipo now extends his influence across business, sports, and community initiatives. His presentation was both interactive and engaging. We highly recommend other firms and organisations engaging with him as the team at Martelli McKegg thoroughly enjoyed his talk! #nzlaw #teamwork #leadership #cutlure #martellimckegg
