Nexus are thrilled to announce our win at a prestigious competition held in Europe recently. This week Nexus won the EHS Compliance Digitization Award category at the 2024 Verdantix EHS Innovation Excellence Awards EMEA held in Amsterdam. Nexus Logistics was recognised for adapting and implementing the safety angel software seeo.ai and integrating it with ecoPortal, a leading safety platform that better identifies safety risks, allowing Nexus to reduce potential harm to our staff. The project was borne out of a need to address the unseen dangers of interactions between MHE (Mobile Handling Equipment) and human workers in a warehouse environment. We collaborated with our partners to implement SEEO’s AI system to monitor deviations from expected safe practices within a warehouse environment and integrate those findings into ecoPortal’s risk management software platform. This has resulted in a significant improvement in the visibility over the risks associated with our warehousing. Events are investigated and controlled when they crop up, reducing risk for staff.   Nexus Logistics CEO Darcy Hart said "winning this award is a true testament to both the Nexus safety team, lead by Anton Tyers and ecoPortal, who have collaboratively looked at how enhancing a digital safety platform can improve safety reporting. The Nexus 500 Go Kart race rides again! Fast becoming an annual sporting event in the Nexus Logistics current and future customers & supplier calendars this is one that brings out both the best and worst in people! Pre race meet and greet, exciting chit chat and competitive spirit all before the racing commences. Then….the red mist descends as the battle on the track commences with a fight for the 1,2,3 podium places! Finishing with the after race banter! Special guest and friend of Nexus, Brendon Pongia of Cure Kids took part this year and drove a sedate but calculated race ending with a podium finish! Nexus Logistics are yet again hiring! We require a full time Customer Service Representative to assist in the day to day proactive management of our current and future customers. Living and breathing the newly created Nexus Logistics 'behaviors' this role requires an experienced CS superstar! What are we looking for? Previous Customer Service Experience in a high volume, fast paced environment. Ideally, knowledge of the New Zealand container cartage industry. Demonstrated customer service focus, including the ability to adapt service level and style to meet the differing needs of customers. A positive can do attitude. Solutions focused. Excellent communication skills. Be organised. Excellent self-management skills, including the ability to work effectively without direct supervision, to be able to give clear direction, manage and organise fluctuating workloads in sometimes stressful situations. Ability to establish priorities and meet deadlines in line with good customer service principles. Sound analytical skills. Ability to work well within a team environment and establish working relationships inside and outside the organisation.
