PJM’s Work in Te Atatu - Delivering Value Through Project Management: We’re sharing progress photos of three diverse projects that PJM Project Management Ltd is currently overseeing in Te Atatu. Each project comes with its own set of complexities, and our team is dedicated to providing tailored project management solutions that drive successful outcomes. Bella Vista Apartments: PJM is assisting the Body Corporate in securing a Code Compliance Certificate (CCC) after a major remediation project. While consent was granted several years ago and work progressed until a few years ago, the project stalled due to a suspended construction contract. We have worked closely with the contractor and consultants to: ✔ Finalise outstanding construction tasks ✔ Pass the final council inspection ✔ Carry out necessary maintenance work ✔ Progress the CCC application process ✔ Engineer to Contract Noall Street: PJM is supporting first-time developers as they undertake a staged residential development. Our role has included: ✔ Engineer to Contract ✔Managing procurement and early-stage project oversight ✔Providing on-demand project management support ✔Assisting with the delivery of Stage One—a standalone home ✔Preparing for Stage Two, which will introduce a duplex Edmonton Road: For this project, PJM is delivering EtC and client-side project management services for Ka Puta Ka Ora Emerge Aotearoa as they develop nine new social homes. This initiative plays an important role in addressing housing needs in the community, and we’re proud to help bring it to life. Each of these projects showcases PJM’s expertise in managing complex and varied projects—whether it’s remediation, first-time developments, or social housing. Felicity has been with us for the past 8 months, helping us elevate our website, clean up ArchiPro, and boost our online presence. We’ve been on quite the journey to articulate what we do and how we add value to projects, and Felicity’s patience and guidance through this process have been invaluable. As she moves on to her exciting new role at Pareto, we’re confident she’ll continue to make a huge impact, just as she has with us. The next person we want to introduce in our 'Meet the Team' series is our unwavering Giridhar Hulegar Venkatesh 🤩   Giri is a highly experienced Senior Project Manager who has a wealth of knowledge in civil infrastructure and multi-unit residential developments. His diverse background includes roles as a client, main contractor and in regulatory positions, which means he can always provide a well-rounded perspective on the industry.   Giri started his career as a Building Control Technician and Building Surveyor at Auckland Council, where he built strong industry relationships and gained invaluable regulatory insight. In recent years, he has excelled as a site-based Project Manager, focusing on construction planning, trade procurement, on-site coordination, and Health & Safety management. 🚧 Holding a degree in Engineering and a Master’s in Construction Management, Giri’s expertise and collaborative approach means he’s not only well liked and respected by clients and colleagues, he’s also able to deliver exceptional project outcomes.   Outside of work, Giri enjoys spending quality time with his wife and baby son, who has brought lots of joy (and, of course, sleepless nights) to their lives! When he's not immersed in family life, Giri loves to unwind by playing Table Tennis and he’s always up for a friendly match. Located just East of the Auckland Domain in Parnell, Birdwood Crescent is a maintenance project for a terraced house development. It’s a unique and challenging location, nestled between train tracks and surrounding residential buildings. The owners are continuing to live in their homes during works, which adds to complexity of project.   The works consist of roof gutter and balcony waterproofing maintenance as well as re-painting of the whole development. Upgrading sections of cladding to modernise the external appearance of the building is also included in the scope of work. PJM are providing design management services, construction observation, tendering for trades and reporting to the building committee.   Big strides have been made recently, including the installation of scaffolding for Stage 1 and roof cleaning is now underway. This week also saw the commencement of balcony demolition - a major milestone for the project. 🤩 Up next in our Meet the Team series is our unflappable Whitney Syverston:   Whitney is a driven Project Coordinator with a passion for planning and a keen eye for detail. Her meticulous approach ensures every aspect of a project is carefully considered.   With excellent time management and communication skills, Whitney ensures client relationships are prioritised across the business. She has an exceptionally diverse skillset which also includes project delivery systems, governance reporting and financial management. This ensures projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget while maintaining compliance.   Whitney also leads the PJM team and manages office operations. Known across the team for her strong leadership qualities and compassionate nature, she drives performance and collaboration across the team. Whitney’s organisational skills and ability to juggle multiple priorities have solidified her reputation as a multi-tasking leader as well as a team advocate. 👏   Whitney puts her planning skills to good use at home too, making sure her freezer is always stocked with meals for her two boys. When she’s not cooking up a storm, she enjoys a good red wine and exploring her local neighbourhood with her dog Charlie.
